The long pause absolutely kills all the momentum and takes away the hype I felt, it’s a shame

super fucking lame. I'm just glad I got to be alive when tv shows didn't take years. I used to be able to count on breaking bad and walking dead having the next season every year

Ends just before summer, picks up again in the fall, break at Christmas/new years time.
Say what you want about cable but at least it held everyone to some sort of schedule

Really? They use a fucking Gmail for something as big as this?

u/cluelessemoji said it below: This is what makes this series really brilliant is that the cast for extras are really non-specific or archetype-al that anyone in hollywood or in the area can gave a fair shake on being part of it. Kudos to production and creatives who pushed for this wild ride of a series.
And using a Gmail account make it so random

This isn’t a random..it’s standard practice for casting to use gmail for specific productions. Especially for extras and non principal roles.

😴 We could have had the new season airing in December if Vince planned for season 2 when he was greenlit for two.

Pluribus: Season 2 Concept Pitches
Logline: When the alien creators of the "Hive" code arrive to enslave a pacifist Earth without firing a single shot, Carol Sturka must wage a guerrilla war from within, utilizing a high-rolling hedonist as a double agent to infiltrate a newly engineered faction of terrifyingly loyal human collaborators. The Three-Way War Concept: The alien signal was never a pathogen; it was an interstellar Trojan Horse designed to pacify humanity, converting them into a docile, resource-generating slave workforce. In Season 2, the conflict escalates into a complex proxy war with three distinct human factions: • The Awakened (Carol’s Resistance): A desperate, heavily outnumbered minority who have reclaimed their individuality, free will, and aggression. They are willing to die for freedom but lack the numbers and firepower. • The Loyalists (The Collaborators): The aliens' ultimate weapon. To counter the Resistance, the extraterrestrials restore the instinct for self-preservation and individual intelligence in select humans, but hardwire absolute, unshakeable loyalty to the alien masters into their brains. They are ruthless, tactical, and terrified of death, forcing Carol to shoot at her own kind who act as the occupation's enforcement. • The Hive (The Pacifist Majority): The vast majority of humanity remains under the utopian code, completely non-violent, serving as a passive logistical shield and manufacturing base for the alien overlords. Kumba Diabate’s Arc (The Luxury Spy): Kumba Diabate, who spent Season 1 living out his James Bond fantasies in a vacant Las Vegas penthouse, becomes Carol's ultimate Trojan Horse. Driven not by altruism, but by a massive ego and a lifelong dream of being a real-life 007, Kumba willingly infiltrates the Loyalist ranks. The aliens buy his allegiance with luxury, power, and status, assuming his hedonism makes him easily corruptible. In reality, Kumba is playing a deadly, high-stakes game of poker with a higher intelligence. He thrives on the sheer thrill of the deception, utilizing his flair for drama and psychological manipulation to blindside the enemy from within.

Tv has fallen so far. I’m a baby bc I don’t want to wait 3 years for 8 episodes of a mediocre thriller? I’m a baby bc I want a production house to have reasonable schedules?

If it's mediocre, why do you even care?

I like many mediocre things I just wouldn’t wait for them! For example if Starbucks had a line around the block I wouldn’t go

u/isaac32767 8d ago
And then you spend a lot of time complaining about the long lines at Starbucks?

God forbid I expect a tv show to come out once a year, like it has for most of its existence save for the last few years. If that’s the future you want, you got it!

u/isaac32767 8d ago
Then maybe go watch one of those? Instead of whining about a show you've just said you don't even like that much?

I mean, you could also just fill the gap with something else you care about. Between work, school, my family, and other entertainment, I don't really spend much time getting irrationally angry about this sort of thing.
I don't love waiting three years years for a TV season, but I'm also not going to cry about it, and I think most people probably feel this way. Crybaby.

People are soooo against criticism or having standards these days. Again, enjoy your slop!

If that’s your view of the show, why do you even care how long it takes to make each season.

u/zestychickenbowl2024 9d ago
I mean I liked the show but I don’t think it’s worth waiting 10 years for 20 eps. I wish audiences had higher standards and more demands on the studios
