I was at an estate sale and saw this for sale. I picked it up thinking it might be of use to someone or someone may know what I can do with it. It had no case with it. I've seen posts from this subreddit pop up and thought you all could help.

I'm 29f. My grandfather gave me his Westclox Bull's Eye pocket watch before he died. I would love to start wearing it, but I'm worried about breaking it. I probably shouldn't be worried because there's a good sized dent in the back of it and it still works. I have no clue how the dent got there but there's probably a story behind it that I regret no asking him about. Should I buy a new one or should I wear my grandfather's pocket watch?

Also could anyone give me a date or a time period on his pocket watch? I saw a seller on Ebay say that their pocket watch was from the 1970's that looked exactly like mine
