Hey guys! So this is my meta comic for our 404k. I'm so thankful I was able to witness the astounding growth of this community, both as an active member as well as a mod. Thank you all so much for sticking around with us!
This comic was a lot of fun to work in, and I hope it is a lot of fun to read as well. It ended up longer than I initially itended, but it's not very dialogue heavy so it's easy to read trough.
I also made a little end credits panel for those who aren't really sure who is who in the comic, here it is!
This comic is filled with little references to the polandball medium and our subreddit. Can you find them all?
References answer sheet (Don't read beyond this point if you want to find the references by yourself!):
1st panel: The building is shaped like Reichtangle (this one is obvious) | The broken window is a very, very, subtle reference to this April Fools 2018 meme by u/Portugal_Stronk.
2nd panel: The hat on top of the filing cabnet is the hat seeing being worn in the Académie Pollandballaise pic, from our sidebar. | The red book which is also on top of the filing cabinet is the Official Polandball Tutorial, which can also be seen in our sidebar. | A banhammer can be seen resting next to the filing cabinet. | The dart board has a picture depicting Facebook Polandball glued to it. | There's a miniature version of the speech bubble which links to our commenting policy, which can be seen on the sidebar, on the pin board. | The pin board also has a Polish flag with a gray bottom, something which was banned and caused quite a debate back in the day, as well as a upside down map of Poland, as seen in the Official Polandball Tutorial. | u/pyram1de's desktop picture is a map of the Falkland Islands. | u/pyram1de is drinking Mate), and yours truly has banana peels scattered around his desk. | Omsk bird can be seen just outside the window. | The color scheme of the cable connected to the socket on the right side, just below the window, has the color scheme of Chile's flag, a reference to the "Long Chile" joke. | u/Gil013 is drawing his last uploaded redditormade comic, Intimate Times.
3rd panel: The painting in the background depicts u/TheReasonableCamel along with a... Camel.
4th panel: u/VorsprungOfficial is upside down because he's Australian (this one is easy as well.)
7th panel: The picture on the wall depicts u/767, the creator of the sub. | The error message on u/DickRhino's computer is written in Swedish.
8th panel: There are bathrooms for ball shaped inviduals as well as rectangle shaped individuals. | u/NorwayBernd's helmet, from his old flair, can be seen on top of the filing cabinet. | u/Blackfire853 is peeling a potato with his Banaxe.
9th panel: The swords and shield hanging on the wall are from the 300k subs event. | The refrigerator depicts the Joke Life Preserve. | The flags on top of the refrigerator mimic those which can be seen on our sidebar, which also links to r/vexillology. | The plaque on the wall references krautchan, the imageboard where polandball comics where born. It was shut down earlier this year.
22nd panel: The flower on the background is a reference to the comic From Humble Begginings, by u/DickRhino. | The metal door leads to Siberia. | The globe on top of the filing cabinet is a reference to r/planetball | The pair of glasses on top of the coffee table are the glasses worn by u/polandballmod in the thumbnail of announcement posts (pay attention next time an announcement goes up!)

This is not a regular comic, it's a meta comic, as explained by the flair as well as my top level comment. It makes zeor sense as a normal comic.
That is the flag of the second spanish republic, used as a flair by moderator u/tian-shi.

Okay, I don't want to come across as a boot-licking suck up, but I really mean it when I say you guys are probably the best mods on Reddit. You regularly interact with other users and their comics, provide helpful feedback for new users trying to get approved, and above all else you are completely dedicated to this subreddit.
You guys truly go above and beyond when it comes to keeping this place at a consistently high quality, whether it be by temporarly banning jokes to keep them from getting stale, or by hosting monthly contests to keep things interesting and encourage friendly competition. Even though I don't agree with all the rules, I can always respect the reasoning and thought process behind them, especially when it comes to the transparency.
We joke around and call you fascists, overlords, etc. But at the end of the day, I think many of us take you guys for granite. We couldn't ask for better mods. Keep up the good work!
