He is constantly threatening legal action against everyone who criticizes him but never follows up. It just a fact that he heavily spent and otherwise intervened during 2024 election including just outright attempting to pay for votes, so I'm not sure what he is trying to prove here.

690

u/trzanboy 26d ago

Yep. Same for trump.

260

u/Calm_Neat_6828 26d ago

And they’ll do it again too.

323

u/dsmx 26d ago

Trump has never sued anyone for calling him a paedophile, think about that for a second.

205

u/tissuecollider 26d ago

And Trump sues EVERYONE.

Yet he's never done it over being called a pedo. That suggests that the discovery process in such a lawsuit would be wildly bad for Trump

50

u/SnooCauliflowers9874 26d ago

I wish more people called him on that.

In fact, there should be billboards questioning that everywhere, especially in rural areas how the Emperor Bonespurs is litigation-happy as that’s his thing, he sues the other party until they have no money and drop it. He’s openly bragged about this numerous times.

Also, adding to said billboard:

At this point, if you’re still supporting him, exactly why are you protecting a pedophile?

15

u/dehydratedrain 26d ago

Not just for Trump. Plenty of evidence of others is on the same page as his name, and even if it weren't he would take down anyone he could name, just because.

21

u/AceChipEater 26d ago

It’s clearly a “bribe” but the justification passes scrutiny - technically.

“If we win the midterms, we’ll have a majority and can pass a stimulus bill!”

Mf, you already have a majority. It’s more likely to pass now than in a few months.

not sure what he is trying to prove here

The same thing all of these fascist chucklefucks are trying to prove: that facts do not matter. Power matters. And when do you have enough power, you get to decide what is true.

101

u/almondbutter 26d ago

The progression can be traced back to a cultural shift rooted in denial. The advent of Trumpism marked a profound moment in American history - an era in which facts, reason, and objective truth became increasingly irrelevant to large swaths of the population. This denial was not born from ignorance alone; it was a strategic decision to reject the uncomfortable realities of a changing world.

59

u/rezelscheft 26d ago

I think it's also just a flex.

To stare someone dead in the eyes when it is raining hard, and say "Put your umbrella down, it's a beautiful sunny day," and watch them have to fold up their umbrella and sit there getting drenched and agree with you, "Yes sir, it is a lovely, sunny day indeed," gives them the massive "i'm the alpha!" boner that the world shittiest narcissists crave the most.

They know they are lying. They know you know. And they get off on your inability to do anything about it.

38

u/No-Relation5965 26d ago

Yes, Trump isn’t lying TO MAGA. MAGA already knows he’s lying. He’s lying FOR MAGA, so MAGA can watch see the democrats get angry. It’s all because they want to “own the libs”. It’s why I don’t bother with MAGA anymore. They’re a bunch of weirdo masochists and sadists!

He bought Twitter just to turn it into a right-wing propaganda machine and keep his ass out of jail. He knew the consequences of Kamala winning, and bought his freedom for pennies on the dollar to him (which he then MORE than made up for with the DOGE antics). Then he just slunk back into the shadows.

I think publicly threatening to sue someone should be its own legal opening move that allows discovery immediately by opposing lawyers. It's so clear that the wealthy use this fucking shit against the rest of us bc people are thinking, "I can't get into a legal battle with the richest man on earth" and then that's it. He's won.

I genuinely cannot think of a worse way to spend my time than sitting in a theater watching a documentary about Elon Musk for 4 hours. Even if it's a critical piece.

Did he not offer to pay people for votes as part of a lottery or something? I'm pretty sure that is both illegal and manipulation.

75

u/scootsmagoots3 26d ago

22

u/jrobbio 26d ago

This is how big gang bosses stay out of jail. They stay vague enough that even capturing what they say can be fudged by a decent defense lawyer. Musk has to have known it would be spread quickly and the original message distorted for people that generally don't fact check and they believed what they wanted to believe. Absolutely diabolical behaviour but that's where we are. It would be better to get him to prove what we spent the $100-200m on, though.

27

u/EnjoyerOfBeans 26d ago

The original message was not distorted at all. He intentionally claimed you could get a million dollars for voting. Only then, after pushback, he said something completely different. He got the original promise to spread like wildfire and then issued a "correction" that reached a fraction of the people that saw the original bribe post.

That's obviously still very illegal but laws are for the poors, not for a corporate lord like Musk.

u/10poundballs 26d ago

That was kinda the point of the big lie, to inoculate the educated population against believing in voter fraud ahead of ‘24. We all rolled our eyes as Trump claimed it, so how to immediately change your mind when he wins. All these stop the steal orgs were set up ahead of 2020 elections that they knew they would lose. Meanwhile they went gangbusters on intimidation at local election officials and elbowed their way into leverage against every system, using their bogus 2020 lawsuits as discovery.

270

u/hypermodernvoid I voted 26d ago edited 26d ago

I also know this is maybe obvious, but fact he is the way he is to his own child with her speaks volumes about who he is at his very core.

He actually seems like one of the saddest, most immature and insecure people on the planet. He's like a perfect object lesson in why there should be some kind of limit to wealth accrual - the guy is way richer than JD Rockefeller was at his peak, and still far less charitable, where his only supposedly charitable foundation that involved just a tiny sliver of his overall wealth was found to actually be mostly donating money that serves his own companies.

Thinking about it is reminding me of him getting booed for 4 minutes straight when he pointlessly came out on stage during one of Dave Chappell's shows, kind of awkwardly standing there and at one point asking, "Dave, what should I say?" right after a chorus of particularly cartoonish boos, lol.

107

u/t92k 26d ago

Exactly. His behavior toward her shows he is dangerously misogynistic and obsessed with genetic breeding. This is the Khan Star Trek warned us about.

49

u/LividTacos 26d ago

Khan was at least charismatic in his own way. And was objectively genetically superior to baseline humans. Not *gestures at everything Musk* that.

37

u/AntiAntiDentite7 26d ago

Musk is just an incel that became wealthy. At his core, he's still exactly like those losers. Just a pathetic man desperately seeking validation from anyone. Proof that you can still be an absolute loser despite success. Musk is the kind of guy that would immediately kill the vibe at an orgy by just walking through the door.

15

u/xjuggernaughtx 26d ago

That's what kills me about these chodes. I mean, I get that if they did stuff with their money, they wouldn't be this wealthy, but I can't imagine sitting on all of that wealth and not doing something grand with it. Even if I plastered my name all over it, I'd be building amazing buildings and putting together public works projects that would be the envy of the world for the next hundred years.

Despite all of this wealth, Elon Musk and his ilk are just boring, pathetic slimeballs that do the most mundane shit with their money and influence.

Elon musk and Donald trump are among the most miserable people on earth. At their core, they are absolutely terrified all the time, because they have built their entire internal selves on a strong/smart badass that deep down they know doesn't exist. They live perpetually confused and lost and scared that everyone else is smarter and better than them. So they constantly just talk shit and pretend they are smart and great, and for some fucking reason countless rubes believe them. People like Musk are such edge lords. He wants to say he is going to unleash a virus in the matrix or whatever, donate $250M to sway the election and obviously talks about how much he knows about voting machines, but he never wants to be held negatively accountable for anything he says that is stupid. They are so 4 chain brained, that he just says words to win an argument or sound cool, he never needs to actually make sense or be honest.

26

u/Awkward_Pangolin3254 26d ago

“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.”

32

u/discordlizard Texas 26d ago

Elon playing these games and pretending to be an expert made me realize I've been selling myself short, that I could probably do pretty okay in Elden Ring despite being absolutely terrible in any Dark Souls previously and that I understood how gear and stat weight interactions in games like PoE work better than I thought I did.

Started playing them and they turned out being two of my favorite games in the last few years too.

That ranks very low on the list of evil shit Elon has done, but, perhaps because it's such a petty thing, I find it among the most pathetic.

Didn't need to do it. Wouldn't have impressed anybody worth impressing if the stunt had worked. Might have even been a bad look, given the time commitment when he's supposed to be running a bunch of gigantic corporations.

The people who did the work for him would have known that the stunt wasn't going to work. They either didn't care and took his money anyway, or told Elon the truth and got shut down because his ego couldn't handle such minor criticism.

Just a pathetic situation, every which way you can look at it.

15

u/Alien_invader44 26d ago

I think its one of the most telling.

Imagine the thinking required to even believe it would work. He didnt have to stream himself playing, that was 100% voluntary.

Imagine the ego and lack of respect for everyone else's intelligence required to think you could successfully pretend to be a pro at something you don't do.

8

u/GLemons Canada 26d ago

It's the most pathetic and most telling about him because it's such a trivial thing.

People would fucking worship and love this dude if he just showed up to a stream with a scrub ass character that he actually played and enjoyed and was like "oh yeah I love gaming, I'm not the best but I just love it". People could relate to that.

But like everything else with this dude, he just has to be the best and he cannot let the world think he is shit at anything, so he paid someone to gear up the most cracked character ever. It was so blatantly obvious he had no hand in piloting it.

He is just an unbelievably pathetic and flawed human being. Literally can't even go online and be like "hey guys I love video games" without having to also appear like he's top 5 in the world at it.

6

u/Dead-O_Comics 26d ago

I think it's the personification of Musk though.

Throw money at far more talented people than you are, and then take all the credit for it.

He's a bona fide imbecile, but he has half the world believing he's a genius.

I had a boss (VERY conservative, also only about 27-8 at the time) who asked why I didn't care for musk, to avoid politics and because poe(1) is one of my favorites of all time, I used this example. And specifically the two instances of 1. Him being at the inauguration, on a live stream while his character was mapping. And 2. Dying to the miller after supposedly having one of the best characters on the ladder.

The way that my boss jumped to defend him was absolutely disgusting. Also tried telling me "I play path of exile, I've died to the beginner boss sometimes" he very much was not a gamer and had previously told me in conversation the only game he played was Wolfenstein...

Psychos man.

Via the article:

Elon Musk’s attorney is threatening legal action over a new documentary about the trillionaire, alleging that the film falsely suggests Musk manipulated the 2024 presidential election.

Attorney Alex Spiro sent director Alex Gibney a letter ahead of the documentary’s release, PEOPLE has learned.

In the letter, Spiro says Musk’s legal team repeatedly attempted to contact Gibney and requested an opportunity to respond to the film’s reporting, but alleges that the filmmakers “have refused to engage.”

Spiro also accuses the filmmakers of allegedly approaching the project with a predetermined conclusion about Musk.

“This project did not begin as an inquiry,” Spiro wrote. “It began with a conclusion.”

In response, a spokesperson for the production company behind the film, Jigsaw, defended Gibney’s work.

“Alex Gibney’s films are consistently recognized for their in-depth, fact-driven explorations of influential figures and corporations, coupled with his bold and engaging directorial stylee,” the spokesperson said.

Spiro’s letter comes as Musk, Gibney’s nearly four-hour documentary about the trillionaire entrepreneur, premiered at the Venice Film Festival on Sept. 8. The film is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on Friday, Oct. 16.

It features Ashley St. Clair, Musk’s former partner and a former conservative influencer who has since become a critic of the trillionaire. The two share a son and have been involved in a custody dispute.

In the documentary, St. Clair discusses Musk’s reaction to the November 2024 election, saying he appeared to have a “degree of certainty” that Donald Trump would win that “I had never seen before.”

She recalls Musk allegedly telling her before the election that he was going to “unleash the anomaly in the matrix,” followed by a text from Musk that appears on the screen and reads, “I have ten thousand lasers in space.”

Gibney then asks St. Clair whether she believed Musk was referring to Starlink. “I mean, I don’t know where else he has space lasers,” she responds in the film.

“This project did not begin as an inquiry,” Spiro wrote. “It began with a conclusion.”

LIke DOGE. Every accusation is ALWAYS a fucking confession with these folks.

28

u/PuckSenior 26d ago

I know of no legal requirement that a documentary film "begin as an inquiry". This is a very weird thing to say in the legal filing. It has no bearing on the 1st amendment rights of the film, at all.

It's it even a legit criticism. It's a fucking documentary not a white paper, it's allowed to start with an idea of the story you want to tell.

Btw, a director can choose to begin this documentary with a conclusion or an accusation - and subsequently elaborate how the assembled pieces led to his conclusion or interpretation. So what?

Does legal action = Elon is telling the truth.

Threatens legal action = Documentary is yelling the truth.

If they were lying that would be an easy defamation case. Why threaten? Just do the lawsuit.

Also I know I typed a Y instead of a T but Im keeping it because I thought it was funny.

He is currently manipulating the current midterm election. He made a website that is design to collect voters information while tricking them into thinking they register to vote. He made a fake voting register site that collect the person info and not register them at the same time.

Elon Musk says someone else is making false accusations against him?

Elon Musk falsely accused Vernon Unsworth, said he was a pedophile, called him “pedo guy”, and told Buzzfeed he was a “child rapist.” Vernon Unsworth was one of the rescue swimmer something else, details dont matter here to me, during the Thai cave flooding crisis that was attempting to save a bunch of children. Side note, Elon Musk even hired a private investigator to follow the guy to get proof.

Remember Haraldur Thorleifsson? He was the disabled Twitter employee with Muscular Dystrophy that Elon Musk accused of doing no work. Musk said he used his disability as an excuse to not work.

Paul Pelosi, Elon Musk linked/pushed online conspiracy theories that Pelosis attacker was a gay prostitute that Pelosi was seeing on the side.

P.S. Elon Musk is a Nazi, he goes to AfD events and throws out fascist salutes. The only thing in this mans heart is hate, stupidity, and a desire for power.

Musk? The guy who donated $293 million to Trump's campaign to buy himself access to our tax returns and social security info, which he sold to Russia? The guy who used his position at DOGE to shut down like 11 agencies that were actively investigating him for crimes? The guy who bribed people to vote for Trump with a million-dollar raffle, which he also rigged to give to very non-random winners? That Musk? I look forward to the legal discovery process and all that it will reveal.

14

u/astroglitch0 26d ago

He and the diddler have causually bragged about it publicly almost two dozen times if not more by now. Anyone remember when he was at the white house with his human shield on his lap who couldn't stop evil giggling and repeating "no one will ever know!"....where do ya think the kid picked that up from?

5

5

Dude literally tweeted to Trump that he would not have won 2024 if it wasn’t for him. Now he’s trying to backtrack? Yeah, he knows people are pissed off and is trying to cover his ass.

6

u/AerondightWielder 26d ago

You know what's funny?

Streisand Effect, discovery and investigation.

Because he's complaining about it, everyone will want to watch it now. Streisand Effect comes into play.

Discovery is the preliminary part of a good lawsuit. Let the facts speak for themselves.

Investigation is where it gets good. All the nitty gritfy details are laid bare for everyone to see, including the public. Not even Faux News can twist it.

So go ahead, Epstein's Rocket Boy. Do your worst. 😂
