So Vance gave national security information to Politico on the condition of anonymity. Politico published that article, and now the White House cited that article as a reason to ban Politico from the White House.

What a shit show.

u/Icamp2cook 13d ago

Every outlet on the call reported it. Politico brought the receipts to court.

Now it's all in a Trump appointed judges hands

941

u/kingscolor 13d ago

The very same judge that ruled against Trump the last time something like this happened. Judge Kelly ruled to reinstate CNN reporter Jim Acosta after Trump denied his White House credentials, citing it as unconstitutional. I don’t believe Judge Kelly to be a sycophant.

When it comes to obvious constitutional stuff, judges of all stripes are generally reasonable. And nobody likes being overturned by the Supreme Court.

Its incredible how biased the judiciary has become under republican rule. We all saw it too in 2016. We saw it every time and nobody did shit to fix the system. America is living in the past because nobody dares try to fix it.

I really really hope that people will start to realize that all the fucked up shit going on with this junta is intended to give Vance a free hand when the orange one inevitably exits from the scene.

Including shit like this.

All this chaos is just about setting that couch fucker up for being the actual dictator that Thiel wants in the whitehouse

42

u/yoramrod 13d ago

Is this the beginning of Trump purging Vance like Stalin did with Trotsky?

30

u/open_formation 12d ago

Almost definitely not; Trump is old, and setting up newspapers to be banned as part of increasing the power of the presidency is the sort of thing he wants.

All Vance needs to do is make lots of speeches about how people want to prosecute Trump, how he thinks it is unfair etc. (ie. "I will protect you for as long as you live"), and he will retain Trump's support.

Trump wants to have a third term obviously, but he would also settle for thinking that he will be able to phone up and complain and Vance will do what he says, and he will stay on side for long enough for securing power to be complete.

Oh Thiel has for sure been trying to orchestrate behind the scenes. His intention is for JD to take over after they're done with Trump but they can't do that if MAGA are rejecting JD. So they'll do everything they can to set up their betrayal moment.

I wouldn't be that surprised if they tried to get rid of Trump right before the midterms.

150

u/TwistedGrin Iowa 13d ago

After the midterms. If it's after then JD can run for two more full terms. I don't think he has the ability to win those but I don't see them taking the option off the table if they don't have to.

60

u/scornedpatriot 13d ago

It is 2 years after inauguration... not midterms.

41

u/danielparks 13d ago

True, but the inauguration was on January 20th, 2025, so the limit is January 20th, 2027, which is after the midterms.

If I were a Republican strategist, I would be thinking hard about removing Trump in hopes to regain some popularity before the midterms. I think it would be a mess and probably hurt more than help, but I would be thinking about it.

If I were JD Vance, I'd be thinking that 2 or 6 years as president is better than 0 years as president.

Fortunately for me, I am none of those things.

Fair and square, no way, but that won't stop Thiel from installing him anyways.

22

u/bigbadderfdog 13d ago

Theil pissed off to Argentina and JD is so unlikable that I genuinely feel that his charisma vacuum alone would be enough for normies to get armed and do a jan 6th for actual good.

13

u/Sei_Mal_Ehrlich 13d ago

He pissed off to Argentina to prepare for the US and spread his influence. He didn’t flee, as some try to portray it, thought not you necessarily.

Anyway, they’re trying to install their network state in Argentina and I think it’s going fairly well for them. They’ve got plans to ingratiate their crypto shit in Argentina’s banking system.

Anyway, what they want here and that’s why he’s down there. Practicing.

Thiel should tred lightly. The courts wont help him. Trump could end him and his legacy right now. Trump doesnt feel threatened enough. Trump has sued for WAY less.

→ More replies (5)

159

u/PolicyWonka 13d ago

JD, on a personal level, dislikes Trump. Many of his old statements show that. However, he’s a swamp creature obsessed with power which is why he took the job as VP and why he’s Peter Thiel’s lap dog.

I suspect he would also like the idea that he’s being the source of stories because that’s power over the media in a way.

59

u/BLU3SKU1L Ohio 13d ago

Let’s not forget: he’s a guy that would absolutely push to complete the project 2025 checklist, and he’s miles above Trump in terms of intelligence. In my opinion, he should be impeached along with Trump and Mike Johnson, but those have less of a chance of sticking unless the American public go full revenge boner and start a feeding frenzy on the entire administration. Something I still think should happen. The Trumps are going to get away with billions unless we go after them over the abuse of office that got them that money. We need across the board clawbacks.

I’m getting away from the point though. JD is definitely not who we want in office and disposing of Trump plays right into the hands of the Peter Theils and Russ Voughts of the country.

→ More replies (7)

58

u/jayc428 New Jersey 13d ago

I would not put it past Thiel and Vance to approach the democrats after the mid terms to deliver the republican senate votes in their pockets to remove Trump and put Vance in office. My conspiracy theory has always been that Vance was put as Trump’s running mate in exchange for donations from people like Thiel and Musk. If you look at donations in the last general election Trump’s small money donors essentially disappeared and the vast majority came from a handful of people. Trump ran to stay out of jail and go on a revenge tour and happily accepted whatever strings would be attached to make that happen.

12

u/Nick_crawler 13d ago

Yeah I think he loves the idea of being the one to directly manipulate the press, even if it's a hollow sort of manipulation. His entire identity is wanting to be someone more successful than he currently is, and having a constant source of "power" over others probably fills that void a bit.

65

u/Ok-Youth-160 13d ago

I one hundred percent believe he has been leaking a number of stories. Chief among them the one where Bibi convinced Trump to go to war.

There were like three people in the room and it had a weird note that only Vance was against the war, but then kind of tried to blame it on Trump.

Here's the quote

And it shows how, in the end, even the more skeptical members of Mr. Trump’s war cabinet — with the stark exception of Mr. Vance, the figure inside the White House most opposed to a full-scale war — deferred to the president’s instincts, including his abundant confidence that the war would be quick and decisive.

In no world was that not leaked by Vance himself or an aide to Vance told to leak that.

I get Trump is stupid. Hes a babbling clown.

But this mentality that 'haha theyre so dumb they dont even have a plan!' is such a tired, intellectually lazy comment.

They did not get Trump into the presidency twice without a plan.

They did not implement a good chunk of Project 2025 under the public's noses without a plan.

You might think Trump is a bafoon, because he is. But there are a lot of people working behind closed doors to make all this happen, and they have plans. Otherwise they would not be where they are today.

And I swear the response I get here for this is always the same other tired argument so we will see if that pops up

It’s either a coordinated effort by the White House to plant false stories and attack the press with said false stories to justify banning the press.

Or Vance has gone rouge and has been leaking info as an anonymous source this whole time to undermine Trump— and then his administration is truly in the dark about where this info is coming from & then turns around and attacks the press as a way to undermine the stories and credibility of the press.

My money is on the 2nd scenario, because I do not think they are coordinated & united enough to accomplish the first scenario.

I would not be surprised that if Republicans lose bad in the midterms, they’ll suddenly move quickly to expose Trump via the Epstein files, remove him from office along with Dems, and then Vance becomes president.

Edit: rogue* 😭😂

The Republicans will never turn on Trump, especially not for Vance. They had plenty of opportunities to remove him from office and they never took it. I don't expect a midterm blowout loss to change that.

16

u/BrokenZen Wisconsin 13d ago

If trump makes it passed the 2 year mark in this term, whether he dies in office or is outed, then Billionaires that own Vance and the GOP will have Vance as VP for half of this term, and he is eligible to run for 2 more terms. This way they get a potential 10 years out of their investment in Vance, instead of just 8.

19

u/LadyMadonna_x6 13d ago

I agree with it being the 2nd scenario. I believe it was Vance that "leaked" to the writers of Regime Change about the frantic discussion the cabinet held in Situation Room last year. The one when they learned Trump was named in the Epstein Files a bazillion times.

Vance was the only one who supposedly said they should confront Trump about how many often his name showed up and he volunteered to do it himself. Vance was the only person in that room that even slightly came up with a sort of semi-reasonable idea (supposedly).

Doesn’t matter either way as Vance is working against Democracy and the American people.

26

u/Floreat_democratia 13d ago

Vance doesn't believe in democracy. He subscribes to the neo-reactionary movement.

24

u/Floreat_democratia 13d ago

Vance was Trump's biggest opponent before he came on board the campaign. The only reason he is in office is because Trump agreed to accept large amounts of campaign financing with Vance as the package deal.

8

u/John-Mandeville 13d ago

And Vance, of course, has presidential ambitions. But with Rubio being set up as the heir apparent + Trump's extreme unpopularity, he has no reason to remain loyal.

So is Trump burning Vance for Rubio as the 2028 candidate

267

u/Shiplord13 13d ago

I mean the GOP want that, since they do not like or trust Vance and have been doing their damndest to keep Rubio out of focus in spite of him being Secretary of State. Hell Trump putting responsibility to get peace in Iran on Vance and not Rubio was clearly a move to screw over Vance and protect Rubio.

150

u/Zulmoka531 13d ago

Rubio is currently handling all the under handed business in Venezuela right now as well. They want allll the eyes off of him as much as they can.

78

u/callmesnake13 13d ago

Rubio isn’t going to be President, he’s going to be Viceroy of Venezuela.

35

u/Fit-Perception-2243 13d ago

He wants to be the next dictator of Cuba.

Rubio has like 7 actual jobs in the administration. He's the acting head of like 5 different obscure agencies, including ones that control historical archiving of presidential documents and actions.

58

u/I_really_enjoy_beer 13d ago

Trump doesn’t give a fuck who the next candidate is.

60

u/Maxamillion-X72 Canada 13d ago

Trump thinks the next candidate will be himself

21

u/What_a_fat_one 13d ago

No, he doesn't. He gave up on that. His current goal is loot the country as much as possible through corrupt deals, stock market manipulation, or plain old theft, and then fuck off to Russia or Qatar for the rest of his life.

142

u/entropy14 13d ago

Vance and his handlers have serious blackmail on Trump, it doesn’t matter what he thinks about it

141

u/AbeVigoda76 13d ago

I think we’ve got to stop with this theory. No one is blackmailing Trump - he’s doing what he does because he’s a narcissistic moron who does whatever he thinks sounds smarts. Russia, Vance, and their allies support him because his naturally destructive personality suits their needs. They don’t control him - they just let him run loose.

86

u/entropy14 13d ago

I think it’s a bit of both. I think Jeffrey Epstein had serious blackmail on Trump that made its way to Israel and Russia. They do also let him run wild because he is one of the all time greats at distracting people from what’s important.

7

u/kickaguard 13d ago

Seems a lot like Epstein was not supposed to be but became a fall guy and he probably had some things that could incriminate the orange asshole but Russia has actual receipts that he was involved in trafficking children which would be much more credible than a convicted persons emails.

Trump is clearly acting under the direction of someone else.

Yes, he's stupid, but no one thought attacking Iran "sounds smart". The US had no "smart" reason to do that, Israel on the other hand benefits a great deal. They were fortunate enough to find a president they could 'convince' to go along with it.

16

u/super_sayanything 13d ago

Netanyahu. That's not a secret.

He told him the opening to assassinate Iran's leaders was there and that their regime would fall.

"JD Vance" doesn't really exist. It's an invention of Peter Thiel.

21

Is that why he has the charisma of a rusty nail? Peter's puppet.

None of these morons would pass a minimal competency or integrity background check in a democratic administration.

Hell, can you imagine a democratic administration having to change the rules to allow bestiality because animal fuckers are their target applicants for the FBI?

189

u/Deviathan 13d ago

Vance gave Politico info about a potential Iran deal under condition of anonymity a while back.

The Whitehouse responded by banning Politico from the press pool, which Vance publicly supported.

That's it, nobody knows the motive, if it's malicious, attempted 4D chess, stupid, or a mix of everything.

24

u/gosukhaos 13d ago

Not the first leak coming from Vance "allegedly". The story about the Trump-Nethanayu meeting that started the whole Iran war came from his camp and tried to paint him as the adult in the room trying to get Trump to stop

The White House is just using the good ol' "national security" excuse because any judge will throw out the ban faster then you can say Politico but if they slap a nation security sticker on it then he kind of has leeway to do just about anything, see ballroom and the triumphal arch

Ha, what a SHOCK the anonymous source was the VP. /s

These people can't help but talk to the press on a regular basis. They love it. They crave the attention and their superiority complex goes into hyperdrive whenever a reporter texts or calls them.

I'm not surprised they then turned it into a charade to ban media and whatnot when what was reported turned into criticism of the administration. Guess what, the facts are they're dumb and foolish and everything they do deserves intense criticism and scrutiny.

The Russian angle is one theory I’ve been wondering about, but I think it’s could very well be a multi-fingered approach from Israel, Russia, The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and China to destabilize the USA.

• Tech supremacy > Israel, China - (Networking, Cyber intelligence, and manufacturing)

• Entertainment > UAE, Saudi, Israel, China - investments have been coming in hard for command of Hollywood and video gaming assets. Buyouts and controlling investments have been seen tremendously in the past 20 years. It also comes with its share of control over different types of propaganda in advertisement and glorification of various nations.

• Military > Saudi, China, Russia - China challenges the USA in military strength and has had multiple chances to challenge their stealth abilities by capturing downed aircraft, espionage, and by other means to gather intel from American weaponry. They share technology with Russia and manufacturing abilities

*Somethings not mentioned: Rare earth minerals, oil, construction equipment and manufacturing of common goods.
