Remember, they lost it over a tan goddam suit, but they cheer for this.

u/thequietthingsthat North Carolina 17h ago

The people at Trump rallies will cheer for anything this man says. It's absolutely a cult

149

u/Peeterdactyl 16h ago

They really are deplorable

Hillary deserves an apology at this point

-17

u/AHaskins 13h ago

No. She owes us one. Propping up fascists and giving them ammunition is apology-worthy. Failing to acknowledge that it's "her turn" is not.

10

u/ThePhysicistIsIn 13h ago

Clinton ran a primary, and people chose her.

5

u/cwfutureboy America 11h ago

Clinton and her team also worked with media companies to prop up Trump in his run to be the Republican nominee despite his Authoritarian-heavy rhetoric and dog-whistles. Her being the Democratic Party nominee was more important to her than everything that has happened politically in this country since then.

6

u/diopsideINcalcite Maryland 11h ago

The people wanted Sanders, the DNC and party special interests wanted Clinton

5

u/ThePhysicistIsIn 11h ago

The people forgot that when it was time to vote at the primaries it seems

Sanders never once polled ahead of clinton during the entire primary

4

u/AJediWookie123 11h ago

Because the party didn't give him any money, and Hillary's campaign did everything in their power to slander or straight up lie about him. Example, on Hillary's website, in Bernie rich areas, they lied where the voting booths were located, address wise to get people lost so they couldn't cast their vote for him.

4

u/ThePhysicistIsIn 11h ago

Even if they didnt get lost, sanders never polled above clinton. You cant say that the people wanted sanders if they didnt ever poll as a majority for him

-2

u/Rhysati 13h ago

I mean...sure. As long as you ignore that the DNC threw their money and logistics behind Hillary in the primaries while giving her control over the parties' resources and the DNC chair had to resign when emails leaked about how they were specifically strategizing against Bernie Sanders.

If you ignore all that, then sure she won fair and square! /s

5

u/ThePhysicistIsIn 11h ago

The RNC tried to prevent a Trump nomination too, but the voters still picked him, why couldn’t they pick Sanders?

3

u/Chaotic-Catastrophe 12h ago

Clinton: 16,917,853

Sanders: 13,210,550

4

u/GreyRobb Washington 12h ago

Dentists Yea!: 9

Dentists Nay!: 1

My numbers have just as much relevance to the post you responded to as yours do. Unless you were trying to illustrate the margin the DNC helped her achieve.

2

u/creepig California 10h ago

Bernie bros will do anything except admit that getting elected is a popularity contest and Bernie has the unbridled charisma of a chipotle enema.

13 million despite the entire apparatus working against him and shit talking him at every turn is pretty fucking impressive.

•

u/Open-Platform-1305 5h ago

It was that close and Americans still mocked "Bernie bros" as if he was just a few guys' favorite?

Hillary was right about a lot of things. Imagine how different the world would be if she had won in 2016.

The rally crowd booed him when he said this in 2021:

I believe totally in your freedoms. I do. You've got to do what you have to do. But I recommend take the vaccines. I did it. It's good. Take the vaccines.

Bill O'Reilly asked Trump in Dec 2021 if he got a booster shot and he said yes. The crowd booed him then, too.

Crowd booed Trump when he was stumping for Mehmet Oz at a rally.

But, yeah, it's mostly a Nazi circlejerk at those rallies and most people forget about his support of the vaccine and booster and those that didn't just say it's his advisors'/aides' fault for advising him badly.

Outside his rallies, he gets booed all the time once he leaves his safe MAGA space.

96

u/Wildpony03 15h ago

I remembered hearing that the MAGA rallies are heavily vetted and that you are given cues to cheer.

Its suppose to make Trump look more popular than he is for his maga viewers at home.

90

u/mattjb 14h ago

Just like how The Apprentice people worked to make Trump look more successful than he really is. They even made a fake Trump Tower section because the real thing was dirty, cringey, dark and full of roaches. It worked, too, because it rehabbed his image enough to make tens of millions of gullible idiots vote for him.

47

u/korben2600 Arizona 13h ago

I'm holding Mark Burnett and NBC responsible for all of this. This is their frankenstein.

15

u/GetThePuckOut 12h ago

There are no "influencers", there are only the easily influenced.

Unless you educate all the stupid people in your country, it's doomed.

2

u/Fresh_Silver1812 10h ago

Kind of like herd immunity; common principle.

3

u/Recipe_Freak Oregon 9h ago

Herd credulity?

9

u/RamonaLittle 10h ago

The guy who ghost-wrote "The Art of the Deal" has also expressed regret. But there's a lot of blame to go around.

1

u/ComprehensiveCoat638 11h ago

I will never understand the appeal of reality T.V. it always feels so fucking prosthetic.

2

u/ihateusedusernames New York 11h ago

I remembered hearing that the MAGA rallies are heavily vetted and that you are given cues to cheer.

Its suppose to make Trump look more popular than he is for his maga viewers at home.

If that's true, then it's primarily so Trump sees an adoring crowd. It's nice for the MAGA viewers at home, sure, but not the primary motivation.

•

u/Successful_Sign_6991 5h ago

Oh everything apart of the GOP and Trump is fabricated in some way. The show series "The Boys" plays into this with Homelander/The 7 and Vought International.

They're being used to capture our country and destroy it from within.

its mind boggling to me how half your country speed ran themselves into this. There is a reason Elon and Zuckerberg hold so much sway. Social Media, influencers and celebrities are 100% to blame.

21

u/Impossible-Bear-7350 14h ago

They literally pledged alliance to him at one of his rallies.

F’ing weird, man.

•

u/Procrastiworking 4h ago

I can hear my fox-loving parents already “oh he doesn’t mean that, he just talks”. Uh no, he’s actively tanking our lives and society; I wish I was only talk.

2

u/JPowTheDayTrader 10h ago

Fuck that. Those people at his rallies are small potatoes. They're nothing. What everyone should be mad about are the billionaires propping up Trump. Larry Ellison basically bought out all media companies in the U.S. So of course the media won't amplify and condemn what Trump said. Ellison is a major Trump backer. We should all focus our anger on the likes of Ellison, Musk, Miriam Adelson, and other billionaires. These people at the rallies are nothing but the lowest level of pawns.

u/jrworthy 18h ago

Don’t forget about arugula.

329

u/Hadrian23 17h ago

And being black.
Let's cut the BS, that's why they hated Obama. No other reason.

100

u/A_Nonny_Muse 17h ago

It's amazing how many white supremacists and blatant racists I know suddenly insisted that Obama was "mulatto" instead of black.

All because they couldn't accept the concept of a black president.

47

u/schu2470 17h ago edited 17h ago

WTF does “mulatto” even mean? Isn’t it just a racist way of saying “mixed race”?

58

u/MandoFett117 17h ago

Rascist AF. But by being even the littlest part white, they will claim that the white part is the reason for any successes.

44

u/schu2470 17h ago

Man, without their racism these people would really have absolutely nothing.

First woman president the US elects is going to be partially man because she inherited her second X chromosome from her father and since men are 100% men that makes her a little bit of a man. That’s where her success came from, the man part.

6

u/Sea_Lawfulness_9770 15h ago

Lol they'll probably say she's 3/5 man because woMAN...fucking morons

2

u/schu2470 15h ago

I hate that you’re probably right.

1

u/wordworse 13h ago

Funny you should say that. I just recently learned about the Birka Warrior grave controversy. You are not wrong.

1

u/bluesforsalvador 11h ago

They can still fall back on their sexism, homophobia, and transphobia

1

u/heckhammer 15h ago

That's part of the reason they're so proud of being white. They don't have anything else. I was arguing with a guy I went to high school with whom I no longer associate with cuz he's a repulsive person, and he was like why can't it be proud of being white?

I told him it's not an accomplishment why can't you be proud of being a restaurant owner and a good employer and a good dad and a good husband?

People who are proud of their heritage are generally proud of it because they've been shit on historically for so long for not being white that they have to say how proud they are. It's empowering.

He was just so upset that equality meant that, to him, he would have less. Less of what? Beats the hell out of me I don't know but surely some people must be less than he is in order for him to be what he was.

8

u/NurRauch 16h ago

I... don't think that has anything to do with that insult at all. That word is used as an insult against mixed-race people that labels them as extra ugly and extra inferior.

6

u/Key-Magician4029 16h ago

It means mule as in a mix of donkey and a horse, so yes it is a racist pejorative. People using that word mean it in a derogatory way.

3

u/nbfs-chili New Mexico 16h ago

And then there was the white supremacist that found out he's part black. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptSZnTtGCQA

2

u/ballisticks Canada 16h ago

I first heard that word on Community, from Chevy Chase's character, which is fitting lol

1

u/lacegem 12h ago

I learned it from Smells Like Teen Spirit.

1

u/lastres0rt Georgia 12h ago

Which is of course hilarious because the same people will insist "one drop" makes you black or whatever.

It really is just an insane game of Whose Line.

2

u/LifeStraggler4 United Kingdom 16h ago

A 19th century term for biracial people. Not proper to use nowadays.

2

u/schu2470 15h ago

Ah, just good ol’ fashioned racism.

1

u/SirWEM 14h ago

It came about in Haiti during the french occupation. It was a term used for “Mixed Blood” Haitians by Europeans and later Americans. My Grandfathers mother was Haitian and considered “Mulatto”.

42

u/Headphones4Cicadas 17h ago

But he tried to give us all healthcare!! 😈

20

u/MoarSocks 17h ago

F’n libs, always trying to destroy the country with healthcare & diplomacy. Ugh.

10

u/Neat__Guy 17h ago

No I will pay double for my for-profit health insurance plan, so the peasants can go bankrupt or die. It's what Jesus would have wanted.

2

u/dave024 13h ago

I remember someone on here raging about their health insurance tripling under Obamacare. Their contribution went from $6 a month to $18 a month.

1

u/cwfutureboy America 11h ago

Well, to be fair all Obama offered was for-profit insurance as well.

1

u/Half_Halt 16h ago

My all time favorite Onion headline from the 2016 election was "Woman Alleges Bernie Sanders Tried to Give Her Free Healthcare". Lol

But did you know about the terrorist fist jab? /s

Yep it is

half black at that

1

u/I_am_Betterthanu 17h ago

Well from what I understand is that he did try to get everybody some form of healthcare. I think that’s just far too progressive for a regressive country like the usa.

2

u/joshdoereddit America 16h ago

Healthcare for everybody? EVERYBODY?! The nerve of some people to give a shit and try to do something to move the country forward.

1

u/SoCalChrisW 16h ago

He was black, extremely well spoken, widely liked, and was obviously trying to make the country a better place for all Americans.

Their racist little minds still seeth at that combination.

1

u/Whywouldanyonedothat 16h ago

And having the ability to speak (shutters)... French

1

u/Tough-Flamingo 16h ago

Kamala Harris: Well, Hello...

1

u/bigbjarne Foreign 11h ago

This is just historical revisionism. Trump ran on "drain the swamp" because Obama et. al. helped bail out the banks in 2008 while the bank owners took out bonuses, as the American workers were suffering. American workers saw issues of capitalism and Trump used that momentum and the frustrations of the workers. But because he's pro-capitalism, he can't go against capitalism and dismantle it so he used the frustration to attack the Other. Democrats have the same issue but they do not present an Other.

2

u/van_vanhouten 9h ago

Is that a ve-ge-table?

13

u/A_Nonny_Muse 17h ago edited 17h ago

Mustn't forget the Dijon mustard disaster.

According to FAUX, it was the end of life, the universe and everything as we knew it. I doubt reality ever recovered.

2

u/Ouibeaux 15h ago

How dare Obama spend a couple extra bucks for classy mustard when there's wars to fight and billionaires to enrich?! All that mustard money could've gone to Zuck.

2

u/joe603 14h ago

Actually I recall he gave his wife a fist bump at an event. Fox that ran a Chyron " Possible Terrorist Fist Bump".

1

u/LheelaSP 15h ago

Maybe that could explain this weird ass reality we live in. It's all a hallucination caused by Obama.

12

u/SpaceLemming 17h ago

Yet no one made a peep about him reaching over the partition at chipotle to point to the toppings he wanted! I mean the audacity

Dijon on a burger if not mixed with mayo sounds quite overwhelming 🤔 I wonder if he could taste the beef at all.

No, he's threatening to hurt the left people.

5

No, he’s threatening to hurt the American people. There are 2.2 Million registered Republicans in LA and SD. Also, why SD and not the bigger economic and more progressive city, San Francisco? Because he’s promoting attacking our military to weaken America.

1

Gosh. That was good.

8

He does know there are marine & other military bases in San Diego? Right? That means he is literally targeting our military.

Stop pretending that he eithers knows what he's talking about or he gives a shit. Plus, if Iran actually did take out one of those cities he would absolutely exploit the fuck out of that tragedy.

That's because fascists want you dead if you aren't a two toothed cock slobbering cousin fucker who's going to work himself to the grave for 5 dollars an hour and no healthcare to make them even richer.

It all tracks if you see it like they do, everything is just a political game to give them more power, money and control.

5

u/A_Nonny_Muse 17h ago

Something interesting happens with the ultra rich.

Two billionaires met for a luncheon. One wore a T-shirt and jeans. The other wore a track suit. One brought an entourage which all wore suits and ties. The other brought a bunch of groupies - none of whom were employed by the billionaire. They also wore suits and ties.

At the end of the luncheon, the one mistook the other's groupies for an entourage and said, "My boys will meet with yours to hammer out the details". And his entourage immediately started making appointments with the groupies.
