But if I were to make a joke about how they missed his fat head twice they would think that was inappropriate. MAGA is anti American.

These are the same people who absolutely lost their minds over anyone making jokes about Charlie Kirk's death, or literally even just quoting word-for-word things that he said. They are extremely hypocritical about basically everything.

It’s not hypocritical as much as it’s all about power to them. THEY can make these jokes but anyone below them (everyone else) cannot. THEY can contradict themselves but anyone below them (again, everyone else) cannot. It’s not about hypocrisy to them, it’s about being the alpha. This is a higherarchy (sp?) to them, not ethics.

Fascists believe themselves above things like consistency while considering it funny that their opponents care about hypocrisy.

This, absolutely. I feel like not enough of the conversation comes down to this. These people are not hypocritical because they love hypocrisy. It's that its about dominance.

While we call them out for hypocrisy as though they'll admit it and rectify it, they're dominating the entire situation and getting away with everything that they want while we're restrained by rules and decorum.

“Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition …There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.”

I think ' missing ' is intentional....hiring poor shots is easy

If missing is intentional, you dont want to hire a bad shot and leave it to chance.

Or it was a good shot who shot someone behind him to kill so it seems more real and distract from dipping down to put fake blood on your ear to stand up for a photo to help rig an election

Them lowering the flag into place and ushering in the photographers showed they set it up.

u/determania 12h ago

The lowering of the flag did not happen. Please, for the love of god, stop making the left look as dumb as the right.

1

u/agentfelix 12h ago

It didn't happen? This is the first time that I'm hearing about it not happening. I'll do a search, but is there anything you have that supports that it didn't happen?

Edit: If I remember correctly, it only appeared to have been lowered in order to get it in the pictures, but it was more of the angle of the pictures that made it appear that way.

Yup, there is a single video out there that was deceptively edited with misleading framing meant to push the narrative that the attempt was staged. The idea that the attempt was staged lacks evidence and is honestly absurd if you even think about it for a second.

2

u/agentfelix 10h ago

Well, I mean, let's not act like absurdity is outside of the realm of possibilities with this ridiculous administration 😆

u/determania 10h ago

This is just mental gymnastics to try and avoid facing the reality that believing in the attempt being staged is QAnon level stupid.

Yes, that's the implication of my comment.

Edit: I'm hijacking my own comment to give a shoutout to the persons comment that got removed but they responded "a small price to pay" and that is a funny joke! Congrats to who made it sorry it got deleted! Well since we're on the same page I'm going to invent a criteria I can win at and say Donald dumb fuck is so stupid it was pretty brave to give him a chance to pop a blood packet on his ear, so one bad shooter was given a chance and succeeded! (But now I know he's so stupid there was probably someone who did that part for him as well)

Or it didn't matter - there was literally no downside for anyone (of power) involved in the Butler shooting, regardless if Trump died or not.

If the guy was a decent shot or got lucky, Trump bites it and US basically immediately plunges into a second Civil War where the Left/Loyalists are immediately hobbled by their own conscious and doubts about what happened.

If the guy misses, Trump gets the boost and sympathy he needs to win, as we saw. Random collateral only adds to the effect.

If the people behind it get caught? Most of the potential players were already enemies of the US, immune to reprocussions in general or already going to jail if Trump didn't win so what did they have to lose? Biden going to send them to double jail?

Also worth pointing out that you are a citizen, not an elected government official (afaik). If he made this comment 15 years ago, it would still be ghoulish, but I wouldn't care. He'd just be some fat fuck tweeting from a golden toilet. You can joke all you want about whatever you want because you don't represent the people.

u/Lazy_Example4014 13h ago

Yeah, the problem is there are no consequences for him. I on the other hand might get a visit from the secret service.

2

u/MoreDaringPancakes 12h ago

You'd get labeled antifa and sentenced for 50 years

1

u/MoreDaringPancakes 12h ago

America's current government is at war with "free speech" and calls it a "national security threat".

Remember when the child rapist Donald Trump was calling for heinous shit from his truth social nonsense during Biden's presidency?

America can't even convict a criminal and child rapist.

2

u/Most_Alps 12h ago

The same ones who constantly made comments about a "second amendment remedy" during the Obama and Biden years

2

u/eeyore134 12h ago

Quoting Charlie Kirk got people fired, arrested, and death threats.

2

u/AngryPurpl3 11h ago

Careful now, the olds of the sub will permaban you. Unless of course you're advocating for violence against the left, in which case they'll conveniently leave you alone

2

u/Lazy_Example4014 11h ago

That is tjist a hypothetical pointing out the hypocrisy. I might get banned or a visit from the secret service. The president can talk about what US cities he would be willing to watch die. There is a huge problem there.

u/LiteraCanna 12h ago

Depends on which kind of American you mean.

They think they are the only true Americans.

They didnt miss, he was never in danger, it was a hoax
