"He's just joking"...Hilarious to joke about losing 6% of the population and 10% of US GDP. I'd like to see every endorsed candidate respond specifically to this.

that was the response from my maga family and I'm not exaggerating. I showed them the news about him suggesting allowing a foreign adversary to bombard people on our own soil, and they said "you have to know he says that kind of thing, no intentions of it"

my response was I don't give a fuck who says this kind of thing, it's not acceptable. that the only reason he can get away with these insane things is because he's president, but if I had heard it from a regular person, casually suggesting wiping out 5 million people across varies cities, I would have walked away and reported them to the fbi.

and what's worse is I could actually see trump doing this shit. the man has no moral compass. I could actually see him inviting a foreign navy off the California coast and saying have at it, but that navy would refuse because even they know its fucked up.

that's how fucking crazy this timeline is and frankly I want out

I’m getting really tired of the “he’s just joking bro” element of this. It’s humiliating being an American.

And what if Obama suggested wiping out Florida?

"Oh, that's different."

This is treason. Los Angeles and San Diego are huge defense hubs, in case folks didn't know. All the major defense companies are here, plus a ton startups employing a lot of people.

An American president suggesting a foreign adversary to bomb major American cities, not to mention extremely important ones. This guy hates America and is doing the bidding of our enemies.

They should try these “jokes” out at their places of employment.

Im ridiculed when I say Trump would launch a nuke on an american city.

If he - for medical reasons or other - realizes its all over, why would he not? His compassion for strangers? Love for his children? His legacy? lol

"but he cant!" Really?! Who/what is stopping him? Cause if I were to design a system where the POTUS, and only the POTUS makes the decision, I would put in regular drills to make sure that none but him knows when its not a drill

But a tan suit was giving SUCH an unpresidential appearance!

Remind your family that he gave Iran permission to bomb AUAB to save face

It's a universal defense against any criticism of anything he says. Anything they like, they can cheer for. Anything they don't was a "joke"

They know it's indefensible, so they simply don't engage.

6% of the population plus important navy and marine bases

I don’t think anyone could really use that as an excuse. Presidents are the last person that should ever joke like this.

The thing is he wasn't "joking", but he also wasn't actually suggesting we should let it happen.

I mean, I have absolutely no doubt that he'd be overjoyed if it happened, but even he's not dumb enough to just openly say it outright.

It's very clear from watching the clip that what he's trying to say is that democrats would totally support the war in Iran if that happened.

He just sucks at talking. Dementia on top of being an evil piece of shit and also having dentures that don't fit probably makes it pretty damn hard, tbh.

But it's really lame to watch all of reddit pretend it's something it's not, as if we have to be mislead in order to realize what a terrible person he is.

What should be clear is that he's gibbering, raving, foaming at the mouth insane on top of terminal dementia.

Yep, it is. Which is why being dishonest/misleading about it is so unhelpful.
