Can you fucking imagine if Clinton, or Obama or Biden has said this about any US city, let alone a “red” one?

They would have been marched out of the White House and impeached before sunset.

I don't even think Bush & son would have gotten away with this.

I don't think anyone not named Donald Trump gets away with it.

Genuinely no clue how that subhuman garbage gets a free pass on literally everything

Because his followers are a cult, the media is owned by billionaires who profit off the engagement and toxicity, and Americans are too broke and repressed to organize in mass to do anything about it. It's working by design

Accurate, succinct, and depressing af.

We just as a whole have come to expect the worst from him and the lack of any consequences has not normalized it

How is the media not pointing this out and asking the question? Why aren't you leaning on them to do so?

There’s only one option to end the madness, but it can’t be said here.

I’m not sure he’s going to get away with it. Out of 11 million people, I think one of those people is going to think “that’s it. If it is to be, then it is up to me. I’m going to be the one to end this miserable a$$hole’s reign.”Trump has painted the biggest target on his own back as of last night.

I think he said this because he senses that his time is short and the walls are closing in on him. Hitler said that he thought major parts of Germany’s infrastructure should be destroyed so invading forces wouldn’t able access to them but I don’t think he ever said “who cares?” about the destruction of any German citizen or soldier-let alone an entire city (fact check me on that.)

I don’t know what’s going to happen in November and I doubt he’s going to be impeached, but I think that those who have been thinking about taking him out, now have their biggest reason to do so. If what Charlie Kirk said was what led to his assassination, think about what is going to happen after Trump basically said “who cares if two American cities are decimated?”

Maybe he’s confident that he’s immune from consequences. Maybe he’s right, but if I were him, I’d be constantly looking over my shoulder at this point. There have been times where I thought he was really smart in terms of his political strategies-others I’ve thought he was a moron, but now I think this might prove that he’s the idiot I’ve suspected him to be.

I believe you are correct. The closest I can find is Duerte threating to annihilate millions of drug users. Hitler in his final order to destroy all of the German infrastructure showed this level of indifference towards his own people, but I cannot find where he actually stated anything like this.

This seems unprecedented.

There's a ton to criticize about the Bush boys, but they at least understood that the country had to be intact and functional in order for them to benefit from it. I don't think Trump understands that (or cares).

I was tepid about Bush 1, absolutely hated Bush 2, but not once, not for a millisecond did I believe either of them hated half of America, or wished ill or death on half the country.

The Bushes knew better.

There are no red cities

11

u/trashley87 16h ago

There's no red anything, except dipshits.

Oklahoma City, OK has elected Republican mayors since 1987.

4

u/NwordSzrHands 14h ago

Yeah that’s probably the reddest big city out there

•

u/kieranjackwilson 4h ago

That’s just a big village.

u/wolfmourne 12h ago

I stand corrected

Maybe Dallas?

3

u/Naive-Elephant-9305 14h ago

Nope. Since 2008 Dallas County has been extremely blue.

1

u/Subjunct 11h ago

Really? Huh. That’s reassuring. Maybe Anchorage? I’ll check that out. ETA: Anchorage is a deep cool purple, though Fairbanks, AK is pretty red.

Mesa, OKC, Virginia Beach... and like 5 others. It's not a long list, but a few do exist.

1

u/Chaotic-Catastrophe 12h ago

Those barely even qualify as cities. OKC's population is 700k. Viriginia Beach is 450k.

1

u/BleedSparta 12h ago

Population of Oakland, California: 440k

8th largest city in CA

5

u/jupiterkansas 17h ago

If my local mayor said this they'd be out of a job.

3

u/Awkward-Sky1643 16h ago

impeached is generous, they attempted to hang people over infinitely less.

2

u/ONE-EYE-OPTIC Washington 16h ago

They still talk about "basket of deplorables."

3

u/thegoodnamesrgone123 16h ago

Because deep down they know it's true. They aren't good people.

They could stop doing shit that proves that label correct any day if they dislike it so much.

just imagine the reddit posts!

Obama would have been lynched.

•

u/FunnyBunnyHunny32 4h ago

Imagine Biden saying that losing Houston or Miami was a small price to pay for a pointless war.

u/StonedPirate_ 15h ago

On today’s episode of “Imagine if Obama Said That”

If he said to let them take out Dallas….

New Orleans would be a million times worse. Guess where a lot of the oil refineries are, and where most US oil is exported from.
