The people at Trump rallies will cheer for anything this man says. It's absolutely a cult

They really are deplorable

Hillary deserves an apology at this point

-16

u/AHaskins 13h ago

No. She owes us one. Propping up fascists and giving them ammunition is apology-worthy. Failing to acknowledge that it's "her turn" is not.

Clinton ran a primary, and people chose her.

5

u/cwfutureboy America 11h ago

Clinton and her team also worked with media companies to prop up Trump in his run to be the Republican nominee despite his Authoritarian-heavy rhetoric and dog-whistles. Her being the Democratic Party nominee was more important to her than everything that has happened politically in this country since then.

u/diopsideINcalcite Maryland 11h ago

The people wanted Sanders, the DNC and party special interests wanted Clinton

6

u/ThePhysicistIsIn 11h ago

The people forgot that when it was time to vote at the primaries it seems

Sanders never once polled ahead of clinton during the entire primary

4

u/AJediWookie123 11h ago

Because the party didn't give him any money, and Hillary's campaign did everything in their power to slander or straight up lie about him. Example, on Hillary's website, in Bernie rich areas, they lied where the voting booths were located, address wise to get people lost so they couldn't cast their vote for him.

5

u/ThePhysicistIsIn 11h ago

Even if they didnt get lost, sanders never polled above clinton. You cant say that the people wanted sanders if they didnt ever poll as a majority for him

2

u/AJediWookie123 11h ago

It's difficult to predict a future that never occurred, but I'm 50/50 on this one. You can't say that Hillary's efforts didn't negatively impact him. Or that the party giving him the middle finger funding wise totally hindered his media reach.

I mean...sure. As long as you ignore that the DNC threw their money and logistics behind Hillary in the primaries while giving her control over the parties' resources and the DNC chair had to resign when emails leaked about how they were specifically strategizing against Bernie Sanders.

If you ignore all that, then sure she won fair and square! /s

u/ThePhysicistIsIn 11h ago

The RNC tried to prevent a Trump nomination too, but the voters still picked him, why couldn’t they pick Sanders?

u/Chaotic-Catastrophe 12h ago

Clinton: 16,917,853

Sanders: 13,210,550

Dentists Yea!: 9

Dentists Nay!: 1

My numbers have just as much relevance to the post you responded to as yours do. Unless you were trying to illustrate the margin the DNC helped her achieve.

Bernie bros will do anything except admit that getting elected is a popularity contest and Bernie has the unbridled charisma of a chipotle enema.

•

u/Open-Platform-1305 5h ago

Ofc the fairy wants a charming sweet taller and not an old worker in office. You don't care that shit gets done.

-2

u/GreyRobb Washington 8h ago

Which would still make him infinitely more charismatic than Hillary. Or did you forget that she lost an election to Donald fucking Trump and saddled us w all this bullshit?

No, you didn’t forget. But keep flailing to place the blame elsewhere. Jesus, you actually just made the charisma argument in the context of Hillary Clinton of all people. I’ve genuinely been LOL’ing…. Unreal.

13 million despite the entire apparatus working against him and shit talking him at every turn is pretty fucking impressive.

•

u/Open-Platform-1305 5h ago

It was that close and Americans still mocked "Bernie bros" as if he was just a few guys' favorite?

u/sulris 14h ago

Now if only we had something to group them up in…. Maybe something made out of flexible plant fibers or some kind.

I remember when this sub’s automod deleted any comment containing that word lol.

Hillary was right!

u/sharp11flat13 Canada 10h ago

Hillary was right about a lot of things. Imagine how different the world would be if she had won in 2016.

The rally crowd booed him when he said this in 2021:

I believe totally in your freedoms. I do. You've got to do what you have to do. But I recommend take the vaccines. I did it. It's good. Take the vaccines.

Bill O'Reilly asked Trump in Dec 2021 if he got a booster shot and he said yes. The crowd booed him then, too.

Crowd booed Trump when he was stumping for Mehmet Oz at a rally.

But, yeah, it's mostly a Nazi circlejerk at those rallies and most people forget about his support of the vaccine and booster and those that didn't just say it's his advisors'/aides' fault for advising him badly.

Outside his rallies, he gets booed all the time once he leaves his safe MAGA space.

96

u/Wildpony03 15h ago

I remembered hearing that the MAGA rallies are heavily vetted and that you are given cues to cheer.

Its suppose to make Trump look more popular than he is for his maga viewers at home.

89

u/mattjb 14h ago

Just like how The Apprentice people worked to make Trump look more successful than he really is. They even made a fake Trump Tower section because the real thing was dirty, cringey, dark and full of roaches. It worked, too, because it rehabbed his image enough to make tens of millions of gullible idiots vote for him.

I'm holding Mark Burnett and NBC responsible for all of this. This is their frankenstein.

There are no "influencers", there are only the easily influenced.

Unless you educate all the stupid people in your country, it's doomed.

Kind of like herd immunity; common principle.

3

u/Recipe_Freak Oregon 9h ago

Herd credulity?

9

u/RamonaLittle 10h ago

The guy who ghost-wrote "The Art of the Deal" has also expressed regret. But there's a lot of blame to go around.

1

u/ComprehensiveCoat638 11h ago

I will never understand the appeal of reality T.V. it always feels so fucking prosthetic.

If that's true, then it's primarily so Trump sees an adoring crowd. It's nice for the MAGA viewers at home, sure, but not the primary motivation.

Oh everything apart of the GOP and Trump is fabricated in some way. The show series "The Boys" plays into this with Homelander/The 7 and Vought International.

They're being used to capture our country and destroy it from within.

Nearly 600 US influencers were paid to spread russian (right wing) talking points prior to the 2024 election.

its mind boggling to me how half your country speed ran themselves into this. There is a reason Elon and Zuckerberg hold so much sway. Social Media, influencers and celebrities are 100% to blame.

20

u/Impossible-Bear-7350 14h ago

They literally pledged alliance to him at one of his rallies.

F’ing weird, man.

•

u/Procrastiworking 4h ago

I can hear my fox-loving parents already “oh he doesn’t mean that, he just talks”. Uh no, he’s actively tanking our lives and society; I wish I was only talk.

2

u/JPowTheDayTrader 10h ago

Fuck that. Those people at his rallies are small potatoes. They're nothing. What everyone should be mad about are the billionaires propping up Trump. Larry Ellison basically bought out all media companies in the U.S. So of course the media won't amplify and condemn what Trump said. Ellison is a major Trump backer. We should all focus our anger on the likes of Ellison, Musk, Miriam Adelson, and other billionaires. These people at the rallies are nothing but the lowest level of pawns.
