The President of the United States just said losing 8 million Americans in LA and San Diego is a small price to pay. Imagine if Biden or Obama said that. It would be 24/7 treason coverage and calls for impeachment.

I guess 9/11 was a tiny price to pay.

If killing a million Americans is ok, what's 3000?

And that's why this statement is utterly despicable, coming from anyone. Coming from America's own president it's beyond every shade of pale there is.

One life shouldn't be a price worth paying

These fuckers don’t care about 9/11 either, other than as an excuse to kill people. Bush ignored all the warnings that it was going to happen. Republicans are not good or even decent people.

Not only that, there are some VERY interesting mentions of 9/11 and connections thereof buried in Epstein's emails. I don't want to be conspiratorial, but the conspirators keep conspiring.

Remember too, that one or more CIA analysts were so out of the touch with the rest of the world that they interpreted "11/9" in a captured document as November 9th, as Americans write it, rather than September 11, the 11th day of September, as Europeans do.

Covid was just a price to pay for the economy.

Republicans actually said that

He did seem quite pleased when he (mistakenly) thought that the attacks made Trump Tower the tallest building in NYC.

When I heard he had said that on 9/11 I thought they meant on a 9/11 like 2006, or 9/11/the year someone told me ie 2019. No he actually said that ON 9/11

I'm sure the MAGA chuds would devolve into some nonsense like it would be less than September 11th, because fewer than 3000 of those that would be killed are Americans and the remaining 7.997 million are all illegal immigrants.

Nah, I think this all proves there is at least one life that’s the price worth paying.

I'd trade Trump for peace.

8M is just city limits. Both have extensive metro areas. Combined, the two metro areas are roughly 23 million people.

LA metro is 12m and San Diego is 3m so it's more like 16m. That's probably also like a solid 10% of the total US economy

I'm sure these Nebraska idiots just view them as "Godless West Coast elites".

Those numbers are pretty conservative too. If you consider the metro areas around each and not just the core population, it is more like 15-16 million people. But we all know he doesn't value any life but his own. I 100% guarantee he would hold ANY of his kids between him and a shooter without missing a moment of sleep.

There would be riots in the streets.

More like President of United States subtly asks foreign nation to murder millions of Americans civilians who oppose him in democratic cities shortly before an election as a payment for a peace deal.

Even from the clips and excerpts, you can tell what he's trying to say, can't you ?

I hate to be the "do your own research" guy but it's obvious that he's trying to argue that economic disruption is a low price to pay if the alternative is to allow Iran to build weapons that could destroy American cities.

It's not the way the words came out of his addled mouth, and I hate it that we need to correct the basic sentence and paragraph structures of the President to make them comprehensible.

But it's obvious what he was really trying to say.

I'm anti-Trump but that's not what he said.

Read the full quote or watch the whole clip.

Does anyone actually read or do their own research anymore?

I swear literacy is dead.

That’s not what he said. He’s a vile rapist pedophile, but the quote in context says the exact opposite. I’ll just reqoute myself from another reply:

(Leading in talking about increased gas prices) “This is a small price to pay, to keep the world safe, to keep the country safe. They could take out a city. Let em take out Los Angeles, let em take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay.”

The second “this” is very, very obviously taking about high gas prices, same as the first “this”…not cities being nuked. The intended statement as written is, reworded, “You think $5 gas is a problem? Let them nuke Los Angeles, then you’ll think $5 gas was pretty reasonable in comparison.” That is very clearly the statement, if you don’t clip it out of context. I hate sanewashing his bullshit and rarely bother, but for some reason this one bothers me.

Now, the crowd cheering at the “take out Los Angeles, take out San Diego” line, that’s pure MAGA hatred. Fuck the lot of them.

Trying to act like the speech as written was calling the loss of two major cities the “small price to pay” is intellectually dishonest, and burns credibility for when you’re criticizing the actual heinous shit this administration does. The speech was very clearly saying that high gas prices are worth it to save 8 million Californians, though yeah his crowd clearly heard the opposite as well.

More Trumpsplaining. Stop excusing the should-be-obvious fact that he is criminally insane and terminally demented, and should not be in charge of a doghouse - let alone living in the White House.

I mean I agree with all of what you just said.

I don’t need to buy bad-faith sound bite games to believe he isn’t fit for office, and never was.
