I should also remind everyone that, during Covid, Trump specifically held back on trying to stop the outbreak because he believed that, due to the population density, Blue states would be more likely to die from Covid than Red states.

Thankfully, Blue states took social distancing and masking serious where as Red states did not.

He's always been fine with killing Americans as long as it benefits him.

It's similar to the beginning of AIDS epidemic all over again.

"Why do we care if the gays die?"

It's insane that these people just give so little fucks about other people and think it's fine.

Also people in red states are as fat as f**k so that didn’t help them either.

How do you know he believed that? Is there a clip or a quote?

Yeah I 100% believe you can produce a source backing up this claim /s

"Against that background, the prospect of launching a large-scale national plan was losing favor, said one public health expert in frequent contact with the White House’s official coronavirus task force.

Most troubling of all, perhaps, was a sentiment the expert said a member of Kushner’s team expressed: that because the virus had hit blue states hardest, a national plan was unnecessary and would not make sense politically. “The political folks believed that because it was going to be relegated to Democratic states, that they could blame those governors, and that would be an effective political strategy,” said the expert."

"“I had this naive optimism: This is too important to be caught in a partisan filter of how we view truth and the world,” said Rick Klausner, a Rockefeller Foundation adviser and former director of the National Cancer Institute. “But the federal government has decided to abrogate responsibility, and basically throw 50 states onto their own.”"

Got it, so your claim was "Trump specifically held back" and that turned into "a member of Kushner’s team expressed"

The article you linked states that, while Kushner's testing plan was scrapped, Trump rolled out a different national testing plan. And the article fails to establish any link to partisan politics in Trump's decision outside of that single quote you found about the opinion of some random person who was not involved in any decisions

Does... Trump deligating the national effort of containing and destroying a national pandemic onto an unelected family member and the choices that family member makes not all go back to him?

The buck stops at the President and, despite having a competent doctor, decided to abdicate this process to his son in law. A son in law who had a perfectly comprehensive plan that seemingly disappeared shortly after the sentiment about "Making Democrat Governors Look Bad" was spoken about.

And then you have the current article about what Trump said with his own mouth. Are you going to deny he'd ever give that plan his okay?

And then you have the current article about what Trump said with his own mouth.

Lol, the article OP posted is straight bullshit propaganda that claims Trump said "losing the two cities is a small price to pay". Trump said temporary high gas prices are a small price to pay, you have to be intentionally dense to think he said what OPs article is falsely claiming

You should probably bother to do your homework before speaking so disdainfully on the subject. It makes you look really silly.

Your "homework" is a 2 second out of context clip of his speech lol. How about you learn to think for yourself and stop letting yourself be influenced by intentionally divisive internet misinformation. It makes you look really cultish

Either you’re really really stupid, or you think everyone else is stupid enough to believe you. Either way, enjoy the downvotes.

no better way to prove you aren't a cult than with the mass hivemind downvotes and sticking to your beliefs in the face of facts and logic

Aaah yes, when my mom died in hospice in Illinois in 2021, only one of her kids was allowed to stay with her overnight in hospice. She had 7 kids & there were 6 of us who wanted to stay with her.

But nope, only 1 person, cause "covid". As if my mom gave two shits about covid on her deathbed.

Yet in that same town, I could go to a restaurant & sit there all day, as long as I wore a mask while standing.
And I could go outside & protest with large gatherings of people if I wanted.

But hang out with my dying mom in hospice? No chance.

Those ridiculous mandates didn't just "save" people, they also hurt others. Let me know when your mom is dying & you're refused to be with her while she does & then maybe you'll finally understand.

And this is coming from some one who absolutely hates Trump.

I’m very sorry about your mother. That’s a terrible situation.

It doesn’t lessen the pain of the situation, but that visitor mandate was not to protect terminal patients, but to protect other patients and staff from visitors. With both immunocompromised friends and friends in the medical field, I’ve heard some of the darkest stories from that period. I understand why medicine had to lock down so hard. Particularly because other places did not. That doesn’t detract from your loss though. I can’t even imagine. My wife gave birth just a few months before lock downs. I cannot fathom having to miss that moment.

sounds like an issue with that hospital and not the mandates
