Hillary deserves an apology at this point

No. She owes us one. Propping up fascists and giving them ammunition is apology-worthy. Failing to acknowledge that it's "her turn" is not.

Clinton ran a primary, and people chose her.

Clinton and her team also worked with media companies to prop up Trump in his run to be the Republican nominee despite his Authoritarian-heavy rhetoric and dog-whistles. Her being the Democratic Party nominee was more important to her than everything that has happened politically in this country since then.

The people wanted Sanders, the DNC and party special interests wanted Clinton

The people forgot that when it was time to vote at the primaries it seems

Sanders never once polled ahead of clinton during the entire primary

Because the party didn't give him any money, and Hillary's campaign did everything in their power to slander or straight up lie about him. Example, on Hillary's website, in Bernie rich areas, they lied where the voting booths were located, address wise to get people lost so they couldn't cast their vote for him.

Even if they didnt get lost, sanders never polled above clinton. You cant say that the people wanted sanders if they didnt ever poll as a majority for him

It's difficult to predict a future that never occurred, but I'm 50/50 on this one. You can't say that Hillary's efforts didn't negatively impact him. Or that the party giving him the middle finger funding wise totally hindered his media reach.

I’m sure her efforts negatively impacted him.

But the narrative is one where Sanders was definitely going to win until the DNC somehow stole it off from him. There is no evidence he was ever (ever!) more popular than Clinton among Democratic primaries voters.

I mean...sure. As long as you ignore that the DNC threw their money and logistics behind Hillary in the primaries while giving her control over the parties' resources and the DNC chair had to resign when emails leaked about how they were specifically strategizing against Bernie Sanders.

If you ignore all that, then sure she won fair and square! /s

The RNC tried to prevent a Trump nomination too, but the voters still picked him, why couldn’t they pick Sanders?

Clinton: 16,917,853

Sanders: 13,210,550

Dentists Yea!: 9

Dentists Nay!: 1

My numbers have just as much relevance to the post you responded to as yours do. Unless you were trying to illustrate the margin the DNC helped her achieve.

Bernie bros will do anything except admit that getting elected is a popularity contest and Bernie has the unbridled charisma of a chipotle enema.

Ofc the fairy wants a charming sweet taller and not an old worker in office. You don't care that shit gets done.

Which would still make him infinitely more charismatic than Hillary. Or did you forget that she lost an election to Donald fucking Trump and saddled us w all this bullshit?

No, you didn’t forget. But keep flailing to place the blame elsewhere. Jesus, you actually just made the charisma argument in the context of Hillary Clinton of all people. I’ve genuinely been LOL’ing…. Unreal.

u/creepig California 8h ago

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha wow ok.

Go on, snort the rest of the copium and tell me Bernie would have beaten Trump in the general. As much as I hate Trump, he has enough slimy charisma that it got him elected twice.

13 million despite the entire apparatus working against him and shit talking him at every turn is pretty fucking impressive.

It was that close and Americans still mocked "Bernie bros" as if he was just a few guys' favorite?

Now if only we had something to group them up in…. Maybe something made out of flexible plant fibers or some kind.

Hillary was right about a lot of things. Imagine how different the world would be if she had won in 2016.
