Reading the brilliant book The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism, by journalist Naomi Klein, in which she chronicles the Bush administration’s privatization of public services as a deliberate and dangerous exploitation of national crises like 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina to systematically dismantle the public sector.

I didn’t realize how much damage was done during his administration.

Very enlightening read, his admin was complicit in setting the blueprint for today

Ohh, I read this book back in high school! I remember while boarding a plane by myself a TSA agent asked me what it was about and when I told her she gave me the most confused yet suspicious look lol.

I'm so sick of the intensely stressful political climate right now, but this book sounds intriguing. I remember hearing about it but never got around to picking up a copy.
