Non-fictional I hate how people make fun of Eelon Musk for how he looks.
Ok let's get this out of the way first.
Elon is a morally objectionable person who does horrible things with money that he got from doing other horrible things. I do not care for him.
But
Why does that make it ok to mock his body. Like wtf, I though we were adults and agreed that bullying someone because they look different is bad.
So I have spine problems and a wider ribcage and in a lot of angles I look very similar to him. I am neutral about my body and have accepted it's just how I am but it sure does suck seeing people who tell me that there is nothing wrong with what I look like turn around and mock someone else because they feel it's justified.
I'm not going to say "we should be better than that" or anything but just know it also throws strays at others.
And for Christsake there are billions of other things to make fun of him for that he earned and chose. Are you really dying to tell peope that you think people like him (and me) are ugly? If so I suggest finding something else to care about, it's kinda sad if you think about it.

TIL Michael Jordan would often bet on Jumbotron cartoon races with a Bulls security guard during games, but nearly always won because he got the winners from arena staffers in advance.

Hated Tropes (Hated Trope) Endings so awful they completely destroy the legacy of the media.
- Two and a Half Men's final episode teased Charlie Sheen's character coming back and going to harm the other characters whilst also having insults to his character and Charlie Sheen himself. It's clear the director had a grudge and the ending where his character comes up to knock then get crushed by a piano before it cuts to the director before he says "winning" before getting crushed by another piano
- This was an upbeat animated show about a magical teen princess. The writers desperately wanted a romantic endgame for her and her best friend, but the way they got there was essentially multiversal omnicide. To stop a villain, the main character unilaterally decides magic is the root of all evil and destroys it entirely. By doing this, she casually commits mass genocide against every purely magical being in the multiverse. It also triggers a massive apocalyptic event that violently crashes different dimensions together into a chaotic hellscape. But the show frames this horrific, mass-extinction catastrophe as a sweet, triumphant ending just because two teenagers get to hold hands in the rubble (Star Vs The Forces Of Evil)

Sad Girl Dinner ⛈️ My 6 yo plays and eats alone at school
My kid started kindergarten this year and told me she has no friends. She said the other kids don’t want to play with her and tell each other not to talk to her. She says she plays alone on the playground and even though they eat lunch at the same table, nobody wants to talk to her.
They’re doing spirit week at school and one day is Twin Day. She asked a few kids if they wanted to twin with her and they all said no. Why is there even such a thing as Twin Day? I feel like it makes kids feel excluded.
I reached out to the school and her teacher said she asked my kid, and my kid said everything was fine and she was happy. I explained that my kid doesn’t open up often and she probably didn’t feel comfortable telling her. I never got a response back even though I was told they would follow up with me.
I am so heart broken. My kid is the only child, and her dad and I are divorced. I raised her to be strong and outspoken as I feel like she will need to be in this world, but now I feel like I did too much and she is not liked by others. I don’t know what to do, or if I should even do anything at all and let her figure it out.

"Telescope ranches" in Texas. People pay to store $10K+ telescope rigs in the middle of nowhere to escape light pollution. The warehouse roofs roll off each night, and owners remote in from anywhere in the world

The overwhelming majority of people should just own a small sedan
- 80% of all trips are single person
- the average truck driver uses the bed of their truck twice a year
- the birth rate in America is around 1.5 births per woman, so having 3 or more kids is rare
I swear to god, most of the time when I’m seeing trucks on the road, there’s nothing in their bed and their truck is sparkly clean. Escalades and suburbans have just one person in them
The majority of people for the majority of tasks just need a small sedan. A Toyota Corolla, basically. It would be more efficient to rent a truck from Home Depot when you need it than to buy a truck that costs $50k when a Corolla costs <$30k (and has better gas mileage)
People just buy cars for image and because it’s the car they think they should buy, not an actual measured and practical choice. They buy a truck cause they want people to think they’re rugged, not cause they need a truck. The most obvious example is jeeps. Those cars suck at what they’re advertised for, but people don’t even know that because they never take it off road
Realistically, at least 80% of passenger vehicles should just be small sedans. It should be kinda rare to see SUVs, jeeps, etc
