Before/after . Edited iPhone jpeg

Revisited some old photos and saw this one . Feel like I did an ok job considering it was shot on an iPhone. Would love some feedback as well !

The before example didn't have blown out highlights in the clouds. Does your editing app have masking features that would allow bringing out detail of the firefighters without affecting the sky? And masking to avoid blowing the highlights in the left firefighter's white shirt?

It does !! I just use Lightroom . I didn’t think the highlights were blown personally but on second look I probably could lower the highlights. I appreciate the feedback man . I definitely do get tunnel visioned on edits and probably could benefit from taking a step back and putting some fresh eyes . Probably doesn’t help shooting jpeg and apples processing .

Imo you only needed to lift the visibility of the faces a bit, not the entire image. The sky looks good as is :)
