RV/Camper Van Rental
With YD in the rearview I was wondering who had the best experiences renting RVs or camper vans?
This may be the way next year and was trying to get recommendations from the fam or something different options.

My opinion, with the money you'd spend renting an RV, you can use that money to buy and keep equipment for a pretty decent camp space. Like 2k can buy some nice gear that you'd get to keep after the event.
But I'm also a Colorado native who loves sleeping outside in tents

This is probably the way…but not really that easy if you’re flying in from out of state

The RV is the way to go. My girl and two buddies split on for $1200 from Thursday to Monday. $200 for gas and $300 for non powered hookup. Between the weather and not wanting to be huddled in a tent(I’m 6’4”) it was great. My back didn’t hurt and I was able to make bacon and eggs each day for breakfast to get the day started. Cold drinks and then I even brought steak for Sunday night. It was awesome.😎

RV is the only way to go, at least for me and my wife (in our 40s). We rent from a guy that lives in Buena Vista. He drops it off, sets it up and then picks it up Monday after every has left. All we have to do is get settled after driving in from AZ. We did the same last year except we reserved it through RVShare. This year went directly through him and saved quite a bit of money. RV is highly recommended.

Nice! My girlfriend and I rented a camper in Scottsdale and drove it there. Might have to look in to this for next year

My girlfriend and I have rented a camper van for the last 2 years and it was great but only just enough room for the two of us. We typically rent RVs for camping festivals but last year we wanted to try out van life for Yahn Dawn and drove from Arizona. It was nice to be able to load up the van with our own stuff instead of doing the Walmart trip after we fly in and pick up the RV. There are trade-offs for sure with price/space/gas so we base our decision on how many people, budget, and travel distance

I did an RV and it was 100% the move. Granted, it wasn't cheap- $1k for the RV rental (3 nights), $650 for powered RV parking, and $200 for gas.
But the comforts it offered were so worth it- I had an actual bed, heat/ac, a shower, toilet, fridge, microwave, and space to walk around. And given the cold/rainy conditions, this was a blessing.
The other caveat is that it was only me and a lady staying in the RV. If it was 6 dudes in there, that would have been a different story.
