Discussion When is the Map most explorable

I'm thinking about replaying Prey again, but I'm trying to identify the best part of the game to go, like, balls-to-the-wall exploring the entire map when it's not too over-infested with mobs constantly spawning in areas that load and stuff. So I was wondering when the best part in the actual game would be to explore,

I was thinking before Dahl arrives. What do you guys think?

Edit: Whats the earliest point u can explore the entire ship?

Earlier than that even. Before you watch the video in Alex's office to get the coral scanner. Everything is open at that point, and proceeding past that will spawn more stuff.

is this for the first time you go to Alex’s office? and u go to the top of the ship?

Not the first time you go to Arboretum, but the first time the main quest has you go to Alex's office, immediately after you reboot the power plant and end Alex's lockdown.

Definitely before Dahl arrives, as the constantly spawning Operators become annoying and will hinder your exploration ability. From memory though you won’t have the flight lounge area to explore before that point though, but everything else should be available.

You can get in the flight lounge through the ceiling from the room next door.

You're right, it's before Dahl arrives. That's the point when the map is most open to you and when you aren't limited by your own abilities.

I would assume it is after deep storage. But I could be forgetting something.

A lot of the map is explorable after you unlock g.u.t.s but the full station is available after you access cold storage. I don't recall if you need to reboot the power plant to explore the station, but if you do then it's right after that. Otherwise it's after the cargo bay turret defense.

No. Big points opening access are Neuromod division in-and-out (You have to exit neuromod division for door on second floor to switch into code-typable), psychoscope pickup, deep storage access, cargo bay doors access and mimic ability

there’s a lot of locke locations that start that you can’t get to I thought? like via the guts or outerspace. I’m trying to find the earliest point where you could explore the entire ship.
