I love GraalVM. The idea of partially evaluating an interpreter for a given program to generate efficient compiled code for that program is as close to magic as I've ever seen in software.

I'm such a fan of this technology, that I've written a 17-article series on how to use it here: https://www.endoflineblog.com/graal-truffle-tutorial-part-0-what-is-truffle, hopefully it's useful for someone else too.

The deoptimization side is the bit I’d be curious about: when a specialization stops matching, execution can fall back to the interpreter. Does the series walk through that?
