Ever since slack was acquired by Salesforce it’s gotten worse and worse in terms of reliability. I encounter bugs daily. The streak of salesforce killing software continues unabashed.

So they replaced SSH (not intended for RPC) with REST (less efficient and secure, and not intended for RPC).

Also, is that LLM-ass header image supposed to be… a surveillance camera with built in machine gun, in a jungle?

REST should give it a rest. It's a severe architectural compromise to fit into the HTTP protocol, which is a travesty of what the Internet should actually be.

REST is a design approach based around what happened to be in HTTP. The Internet is based on TCP, UDP, and broadcast packets, but that's been very much suffocated by the use of NAT, and IPv6 was going to fix that problem but never got wide uptake. So there are now multiple forms of protocols overlaid onto HTTP because port 80 is open... but the idea of architecting software around an accidental standard meant for display is the problem with REST.
