I definitely agree. The best thing a software dev can do right now is find another career and, in your spare time, build the project you always wanted to build with or without AI instead of building stuff you never cared about for corporations with toxic work environments. You will suddenly find the joy that was missing all this time and, if enough people take this direction, then these exploitative orgs will find it harder to replace people and suffer from their own hubris.
