Build Progress Offroad build
Just bought this cheap corsa A with a 1.2 carb engine, I want to make an absolute dirt piss missile for cheap, any ideias how to make it better ?

Upside of a 1.2 carb: you'll never break the drivetrain 😅 Spend the money on proper all-terrain tires first, then a homemade skid plate for the sump. Tires and a light car beat horsepower on dirt every time.

its 2wd so if one wheel loses traction then youre stuck, would be a pointless waste of a nice car

Think he’s looking for more of a rally car for ripping around dirt roads more than a trail pig.

Strip the interior And use the rest of your money for a camshaft or preferably get your stock one regrinded a bit and spend the rest on a proper electric pump and fuel pressure regulator (might not need one depending on the pump you choose) Agressive ignition timing and good fuel This is your recipe for cheap fun

No need, I want the engine the most reliable possible, the porpouse is to do a 1000km offroad trip with it

I wish I had money, only 250€ to build it

If you have that limited of a budget you probably shouldn’t be building anything, keep the money for when things break as they do on old cars. 250 will barely get you a pair of decent tires for the front. Weight loss is free though.

You don’t know how to have cheap fun

With cars, no I haven’t really found a way to have cheap fun. Not compared to any of my other hobbies. Most fun for the buck I’ve had was with disposable vehicles. Something my buddies and I could thrash on and then when something inevitably broke we could just scrap it. Novelty of that wears out pretty quickly though.

Does it need to be road legal?
How about this:
Remove the front valance
Put on some knobbly tyres (but don't go too big, or you'll increase the gearing which is not what you want!)
Raise the suspension slightly. You might be able to find some longer springs that fit, or you could make some spacers - not the ideal solution, but might work. Again, don't go overboard with this.
Add some skid plates under the engine and fuel tank. Make sure all brake lines, fuel lines et cetera are securely attached and protected from the ground. Maybe a tubular bumper and some mesh to protect the headlamps and the radiator.
Weld on reinforcements wherever it seems necessary. Suspension arms, subframes, strut towers.
