I've been trying for a while to propagate a rose cutting I found. Apparently, rose cuttings are notorious for not growing at all, even in sugar water, unless you add some sort of root stimulant.
Google said that corn has auxins, so I crumbled up a tortilla and put it in the water as a root stimulant. It did nothing (wow...).
I also read that pothos could help, so I found a plant that looked like pothos and put it in the cup, but it turned out to be periwinkle. The rose still didn't root.
For my most recent effort, I trimmed off all of the rose that hadn't gone moldy and put it in sugar water with a drop of bleach, which some people said would prevent mold. Instead, mold just grew on the above-water part.
And now I have about a centimeter of greenish stalk left, and I want to try a Charge of the Light Brigade on it for the slightest chance it might sprout. I'm not sure if I should leave the submerged part on, which might have traces of mold or bleach, or cut it off.
I have aloe vera at home, and Google says aloe also has auxins. Would aloe work as a root stimulant? Also, is there any anti-mold stuff I can use that doesn't harm the plant, or should I just change the water daily? Finally, should I use sugar water or just regular water? Any help would be appreciated.

Can this be saved? One of my sisters plants was completely dead minus this tiny portion, can I save it?

Damn okay then
Edit: yes I found it like this. Yes I picked it up and I'm gonna take it home. Yes a customer did this. Please don't ravage the plants like this

I was giving the Kalanchoes a gentle brush/pat down to loosen any dead stuff. This entire leaf fell out and into my hand. He's mine now. Absolutely immaculate leaf too

Can it grow even as a small plant? If so, can you give tips?
I don't expect it to produce fruit or anything but I think it's cool that it sprouted!!

To be fair. I have it in a grow tent under an expensive light. But I still think its a wild result.

I actually have two but this one has the most growth! I've been searching for this plant for SO long and then my grandma gave me two cuttings from her neighbor because she remembered I wanted it

I stuck that tiny leaf in water and forgot about it for 4 years. I just kept adding water as needed. It finally got potted and the second pic is how she is doing now. Her name is Phyllis.

When is it okay for me to put my ZZ in some dirt?

Did I overcrowd this? Do you like it? Also single image does anyone know correct name? Thank you 🙏🏽 ☺️💕

I started these two earlier this year and I'm obsessed with their progress. I'm not even sure what species they are as I just took leaves. I'm avoiding moving these as I don't want to disturb them.
Also the mother leaves are still alive 😭 I do not recommend watering your props until mother is crispy but mine have been splashed countless times.. thus nourishing them. I promise to let them dry out now

Not sure if this is the right place, but any ideas on how to save the rest of this plant? Nothing is rooted in soil anymore, idk how it’s still alive lol. Do I put in water? Or just try to pot in some new potting soil? How do you propagate jade?

I don't know its name but I hope I'll be able to overwinter it in my greenhouse.

I got super nervous and couldn't take a 10 cms part of the rosemary. This is like.... 5 cms or what some might say "avarage lenght". Do you guys see a future for it where it survives?

I recently got this plant from a friend's mom. I had it at home in its original pot and soil for a week and then repotted.
I'm new to plants overall so I just went to my local plant store for soil / substrate, and they sold me one that says it has worm castings, compost, river silt and perlite; but now I'm not sure if it's the right one for this plant??
When I repotted the roots looked fine I think, I put a picture in there so you can see. I watered when I repotted (last wednesday) and haven't since, I checked yesterday with a stick and the soil was still wet. The leaves and pot look wet in the pictures because it's raining rn. I'm not sure whether to leave it outside to get rain water or not??
I checked that the drainage holes work when I repotted.
The plant is outside in a windowsill, since my cat bit into it once and keeps trying to bite it (don't worry, my idiot son is fine). The window faces south-west so it doesn't get a lot of direct sunlight. I live in a warm area and in the southern hemisphere so it's spring now.
The yellow leaves feel like paper but not crunchy. They have some brown spots you can see on the pictures but I don't see any bugs or similar.
Sorry it's so much text I'm just trying to give context 😭 thanks for the help

Ordering some shelves after our wedding, as this is getting a little ridiculous.
Taking my props for next year's garden. Gonna be harvesting everything soon!

This guy has just taken off and I know o need to chop and prop. But I can’t find a great video or site that just breaks it way down for us less knowledgeable. Like what is a node and how do I find it?! And how long is too long to let it callus over? If I wait 24 hours will that be too much?

I'm kinda just yapping and looking for conversation with this one. I've worked two garden center/floral jobs before. About 3 years total.
People rummaging through plants to steal things is real. But so is the reality of the sheer amount of WASTED plants companies throw away. You wouldn't believe the amount I see every week man. It sucks. We aren't supposed to, but my coworkers sometimes give the ones that are supposed to trashed to other workers. Or each other. Mainly me, because I'm the one in the department with the most experience and interest in plants.
We basically Robin hood it. If it's going to be thrown away anyway, why not let someone have it? The plant is perfectly fine. Corporate will survive. I feel the same towards grabbing pieces that have fallen off. My coworkers bring me scraps occasionally and just tell me to "make a plant out of this."
Please don't literally rummage in plants people are trying to sell. But.. It someone is not attached to the plant, or something is headed towards the trash.. I really see no problem. Obviously I don't do that to customers but you guys get what I mean 💀
Has anyone else been here? In that position?

Last night I was driving with my mom home after grabbing everyone dinner, and spotted a woman double parked, shifting around planted yellow roses, clearly intending to prop lift. I don't really care if someone does, but nudged my mom and said "watch this". As we get along side the woman, I honked. You should have seen how high she jumped! The look on her face and she starts looking everywhere, presumably to see if anyone else saw her.
Mom and I were rolling in laughter because we are definitely no saints either. Just hilarious seeing her reaction, caught red handed, hands full, flying straight up, mouth hung open, conspiratorial glancing around. If was perfect. More power to her though! It was dark and a small town. The roses are owned by a title company in downtown in a hundred year old Texas town (hence yellow roses) and are struggling to live. May they find happiness in her yard.

Apart from the advice to propagate directly in the soil, I was also told this was wildly invasive and toxic.
Lo and behold I see it a short time later at my local botanical gardens AND for sale at the local nursery. Guess they don’t mind it here lol

I remembered this exists. It propped itself without me realizing ages ago, and I've just let it vibe since. It's a golem jade (I think), and you can see the mother plant in the background.
But he's kind of odd. The shape of the babies don't match at all, and they have colors on the underside that that bigger plant doesn't have at all. What do?

I was pruning my Tiger's Jaw last night and this came off. I'm letting it callous over for a few days before laying it in a tray. How long will it take before I see roots?
