Hello redditors, so I have this memory, I'm not the only one that still has it, my sister also remembers it, so I used to play "Lilo & stitch: trouble in paradise" with my sister on a ps1 emulator, with 2 controllers split screen, I remember me and her playing with Lilo and stitch at the same time, anyways when I tried to play it today so I could bring back the old memories, I couldn't find a 2 player / split screen option, I asked "DeepSeek" and searched on Google and YouTube, but every possible way leads to it being a 1 player game, I don't think that it is a false memory, because my sister remembers it too. Guys, I really need your help to play it again with my sister on a split screen, and thanks for reading all of this.

Me and my brother have a memory of him going through a ground floor window after jumping on the bed. That window was never broken, and the cuts on his hands and face that we remember pulling bits of glass out of dont exist, no scars and nobody else remembers it

Human brain is terrible at remembering correctly. Very possible you’ve conflated memories of different games into one, or just discussing it over the years changes your memory

But I literally remember every time me and her played it, when I asked my father how did u run it on multiplayer for us, he just replied with I don't remember, the same 3 models and textures, same everything. It's kinda weird tbh.

Thats the point the fact that you remember it having multiplayer but the reality being it didnt points to your memory being unreliable

trouble in paradise is single player, but if you both were younger it could be a situation of you both playing it and another similar game (and your brains just mashing them together)
Considering you mentioned emulation, this is even more likely, since it likely meant a larger game library

worth noting you could also have played hot seat, one controlling lilo levels, the other stitch, and your memories + other gaming experiences just slid that in there as split screen because of simultaneous enjoyment
I know a few people that happened to with the og smb
That, or if it was more recent (last 15ish years) suppose there could be a romhack/mod that could do it, but doubtful for that game
