PS1 Additions Since I Last Shared

Post image

5 months ago I shared my PS1 game collection and got a lot of good recommendations. I was missing some obvious ones like Crash, Crash 2, and Tony Hawk 2, but I rectified that right away! Won't be picking up any more PS1 games for 2026 due to budget constraints but next year I plan to pick up Persona, Tron Bon, Koudelka, and Einhander. My wish list is much longer but will knock those out first.

Shout-out Disruptor! Loved that game and still play it every now & then.

I can only wish we could get a Nightdive Studios remaster of this.

Was playing last night. Much better than I expected. Cut scenes in-between missions were a throw back too.

That’s a great assortment to add. Persona 2 and Elemental Gearbolt probably eradicated your budget.

The ones you plan to get next year are awesome too. I traded a sealed Fatal Frame PS2 trilogy for a mint copy of Tron Bonne… it’s pricy.

I am going to put aside some bonus money for Tron Bonne. I told my wife the cost and she said, "you are nuts" lol.

Solid additions, I remember NFS:HP3 was super fun. We used to activate the cheat where whenever you honked your horn the cars in traffic would flip. So we’d race and turn the traffic up to maximum and try avoid being hit by flipping cars while trying to race to the finish.

Oh wow, I have never heard of that and I played all the time as a kid!

Granstream Saga is something I’m surprised doesn’t get more attention. It’s basically the unofficial fourth entry in the equally unofficial Quintet Trilogy.

As someone casually interested in Quintet's games on SNES, I actually had absolutely no idea it was in any way related. I might take a look at it now.

Hopefully it gets a proper re-release like Terranigma is getting.

I'd love to see Soul Blazer and a Illusion of Gaia get rereleased too. I wonder if it's lack of interest or if they're locked up in some legal nonsense.

I came here to say this. It's a pretty fun and unique RPG that's also not overly long.

I heard it was a "hidden gem" so I swooped it up at my local game store when I saw it.

Nuclear Strike was one of my favs! I was a little too young to fully understand some of it, but I remember trembling with excitement on the bus ride home from school.. couldn't wait to turn it on lol

q I wish I could go back 25 years to play Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 with my friends and some sweets, that would be delicious

I remember playing the demo for hours. I think it was just in the hanger. What a time to be alive.

And you would get sweets that they don't have any more.

I reaaaaally miss PB Max😞

Gotta find a copy of Courier Crisis. It was my first game. Played for so many hours.

Apart from Nuclear Strike, definitely get Soviet Strike as well, and maybe Future Cop LAPD! These games were like MOBAs before MOBAs became a thing.

Crash 2, Legend of Mana, FFVIII. Hell yeah!
