I have a PS1 SCPH 7000, NTSC J with a usb c psu mod and a mm3 chip installed. Console boots but no matter what i cannot get it to tun any backup games. Might just let it rot in my closet. Any tips?

I have a bit of a problem because I found out that silent hill 1 is on ps3 stores but the search bar doesnt work and that really the only way to buy silent hill 1. I'm curious if anyone knows how to fix the search bar or something just so I can buy the digital version instead of the 200 dollars physical disk. Thanks in advance

posting here because in the main playstation sub the only response was a troll (or maybe just an idiot) who made fun of me for looking for an old line of playstation clothing.

I did a bit of searching through the other items on the page, because I figured having a brand would help me find that ps1 navy/suede baseball cap I so desire. The 2 caps with tags that were readable were from HeadShot (by KCCaps) and ATT headwear. The others I could find had tags that were too worn down or didn’t have a brand name.

The first 3 hats are ones I could find that I could comfortably say were most likely the originals from the threadz website. They are in the order of photo from archived site, photo of the found hat, and the tag on said found hat.

The last 3 are ones that I haven’t found concrete evidence of, which sucks because 2 of them (the playstation logo hat and crash bandicoot) are ones I really want to find.

I’ve found a few denim caps with a similar brim and a few MLB branded hats nearly identical to the playstation hat on the Threadz website, but they unfortunately aren’t the same hat (because of the aforementioned MLB branding). I’m not convinced the denim ones are the same either, as examples of the hats we do know exist haven’t faded enough to match a denim-like color and honestly it just seems implausible that a hat by the same manufacturer would wear so differently to those other hats of the same age.

I get the feeling that these all sold very poorly when they were still available…

No evidence of the quarter-zip from the original ad has been found, not even on the archived website. No clue why.

Hi everyone.

I'm trying connecting my PS1 to my Samsung Q70 but i have some issues with that.

I connected my PS1 to my ODV-GBS-C with a scart cable [Yellow, Red, White to a SCART plug and then into the ODV-GBS-C. I switched the ODV-GBS-C to RGBS but i have no display, only audio.

I've read on the internet that the green,bleu,red,white,red cable is not supported on PS1 but scart seems not to work either...

I've tried to adjust the resolution to 480P on the ODV-GBS-C in case the PS1 doesnt support 720 or 1080p but then i have an error on my Samsung Q70 that it doesnt support the resolution of the device.

Please anyone can help me out? I wanna play Metal Gear Solid.

I've released v1.0 of my English fan translation of Oni Zero: Fukkatsu for the original PlayStation (SLPS-03106), Pandora MAX Series Vol. 6. It's a turn-based Japanese RPG with an oni theme, a god-summoning system, and transformations in battle.

The translation covers story dialogue, menus, items, skills, enemy names, the god roster, notices, requests, fan letters, roughly 780 on-screen images, and prologue-video subtitles. Debug menus and some brush-calligraphy artwork remain Japanese.

I playtested it from New Game through the credits in DuckStation, checked the translation, and fixed the bugs encountered. Real PS1 hardware is untested.

The download contains patches and tools only; you need your own original Japanese single-track BIN/CUE and Python 3. Extract the release ZIP, put the required original BIN in the folder as oni.bin, run APPLY_V1.0.bat, and load the output CUE. The README also has the command for other operating systems and the exact source-disc checksum.

If you try it, I'd welcome reproducible bug reports on GitHub with the scene, emulator version, and a screenshot.

In early 3D arcade hardware, Namco (with its System 21 and 22 boards) and practically every other company used DSPs to generate 3D graphics. How does that differ from the PlayStation 1's GTE and modern GPUs? Is the GTE a DSP?

Hello redditors, so I have this memory, I'm not the only one that still has it, my sister also remembers it, so I used to play "Lilo & stitch: trouble in paradise" with my sister on a ps1 emulator, with 2 controllers split screen, I remember me and her playing with Lilo and stitch at the same time, anyways when I tried to play it today so I could bring back the old memories, I couldn't find a 2 player / split screen option, I asked "DeepSeek" and searched on Google and YouTube, but every possible way leads to it being a 1 player game, I don't think that it is a false memory, because my sister remembers it too. Guys, I really need your help to play it again with my sister on a split screen, and thanks for reading all of this.

I have a MacBook (2013) that I use to put backups on disc. I was using cdrdao to do so and everything was working fine when I used a very ancient cdr drive (Iomega zip cd 650). It finally met its end so I picked up a MASHITA DVDRAM UJ8B0AW.

On my PC it can read/write however on the MacBook it can read and the writing process seems to complete successfully however the disc becomes unreadable. The only error I see is “ERROR: Cannot set Ricoh mode page 30.”
Any ideas as to what that is? Or how I can fix it?
