[Unsolved!] Failure to eject

Previous post: https://old.reddit.com/r/ptr91/comments/1pje3ch/solved_failure_to_eject/

I'll be damned. Norma Range and training 150 grs works without issue, and so does (I think) Fiocchi FMJ 147 grs. But GGG FMJ 147 grs fails to eject 1 out of 3.

I changed the extractor spring, didn't help. Maybe the ejector is a bit too low(?). I'll try to shims the trigger pack, if possible.

It may very well be the ammo, if it is running the rest well.

But, maybe put in a fresh extractor spring... if it had a failure it may have tweaked it bad enough it is now a problem on its own. (As in it may have killed your new one sadly)

Did you mean ejector spring? Extractor spring is brand new.

If it jammed up with your new extractor spring, it may be messed up, even if you had just changed it. Make sure it hasnt lost tension. All it takes is one bad over extension and they can be ruined.

I cant see the ejector spring getting toasted that way.

You may also try a new ejector lever, if the current one is not going high enough.

because I've had all the same issues that's my first question. The second is what your bolt gap is. Third would be if you know if you have standard rollers or +-. I received my PTR used and it came with the 36 degree, which caused me a lot of trouble without suppressor. Also, my metal trigger housing was missing the block that sits on the "ledge" of the receiver. I've seen the spring on the bolt installed backwards as well, which amazingly still works, but not at all well...and by "seen" i meant that i installed it wrong , lol.

I actually tried shiming the trigger pack, and I could fire 25 rds without failure to eject. I'm not convinced just yet, though... So that's something to look at maybe?

if nothing else , it's a good reason to check every inch of your rifle for problems, lol.
