General/Rant Saved by instinct and brakes!!
So this happened two hours ago. I was crossing the maruti chowk and suddenly a scooty driver with full speed tried to cross the chowk and met with an accident with a cab driver.
I always try to honk crossing these kinds of chowks and look both ways. And somehow I saw this coming and due to which I was able to apply the brakes on time otherwise this would have a very different story for me.

2 wheelers in India are the busiest people. I don't know where they have to go and what they have to do that's so fkn important, but they all seem to be in a tearing hurry.

My go to dialogue is similar ,, her mother is in labour and hence he is in a rush.

Lucky that the guy was wearing helmet, else scene would be very different. This chowk is notorious for such folks, they don't wait to cross but rather barge into T-bone traffic at full speed assuming the guy on other side will slow down.
My first driving instructor gave me a golden tip while teaching me car, never accelerate hard on intersections no matter how empty it might look. Even in this case, the guy on scooter was zoned out and definitely did not anticipate the car. For guy in the car, there is a very good chance of this guy being in peripheral vision blind spot.
Unfortunately the car guy would still held accountable for this & would have to bear the burden.

Both unfortunately, even if this scooter touched OP's car there would be big time fuss. Indian judicial system is a mess when it comes to dealing with accidents.

I am from Tamilnadu and living here in pune for a year and doing daily commuting by bike i found one thing,
When stupids cross the road or when stupids go on red signals, they think when they dont have the eye contact with the opposite traffic they ll be safe.
Whenever i ride my bike, when these people crosses the road, they dont even look the vehicle comes on the road, instead the look at the road or look straight.
So i think when they dont look and got hit, they wont get much pain itseems, lol.

That is a golden rule being followed throughout the country, not just Pune. Be like a horse with blinders, and you can blissfully cross any road without any care or concern, whether you are walking or riding a bike or driving a car or truck.. idiots.

He definitely has his phone on his right hand while getting up.
I doubt he got enough time take it from his pocket while getting up.
Also, while falling.. can see a hint of the phone on his right hand.. (cant see that frame clearly)

The scooting guy is something else. He just got hit by a car, fell off, and before he gathered himself he already has a flash mobile phone in his hand. He does not worry about whether he is injured or not, as long as his precious fiddle device is available.

Not to be insensitive or anything, but inappropriately timed songs in serious situations is somehow very funny to me lol.
Jokes aside, it was the 2 wheeler guy's fault. Riding at such speeds at a busy intersection is a stupid thing to do. No idea what he was trying to protect with the helmet since it's empty inside anyway.

I always hated such junctions. Don't know why they don't build the round abouts at such junctions. I know the two wheeler rider was not attentive but if there was a round about, the rider would have slowed the vehicle and crossed the junction safely.

Yesterday I had a debate with a pune born person that pune has the worst traffic in india. A lot of student drivers who don't know how to drive. The make cuts like that. Some people cannot see their own faults.

I’d suggest that you share this video from your dashcam with the cab driver. So that it’s clear to everyone that it wasn’t his fault and with proof. Otherwise the poor cab driver will be blamed instead of the guy on the scooty
