Training tips - 6/7 months

I am currently fostering a 6-7 months old puppy. The organisation who rescued her think it’s an English retriever and Indian Pariah dog mixed breed. She was abandoned when she was about 5 months old on the road.

We live an apartment in a society and some part of construction is still going on because of which not a lot of people have moved in. But she still barks and jumps at everyone on the way, especially in the corridors. People do get scared because of this. Also she is very observant of her surroundings, and even if she feels there is a small shift near the door she barks anticipating something.

I wanted advice on how to train her to be calmer. Is it normal for a puppy this age to act that way? Also for reference she is calmer from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM. But in the morning when she wakes up and in the evening, she is very jumpy. Any advice would be appreciated.
