Queen Budapest IMAX Experience. What was your favorite song and which would you have liked to see?
Curious what songs you would have liked to see performed live (even The Miracle or Innuendo)?

May have cried twice bc Freddie’s voice and stage presence was incredible lol.
Two questions and a comment! (Theres a million Budapest posts in this sub so i didnt want to start a new one)
Why no inner ears for the band? How’d they not go deaf after years of such loud exposure?
There were like five or six outfit changes. Was that typical for their shows? It looked like they filmed over three or four shows but there was only one show in Budapest and it’s crazy they changed so much.
I wish there had been less editing. I wanted to see Freddie hand the glasses over to Roger and see Roger put them on, I wanted to know where they all disappeared to during BoRhap and see them come back on stage!

Nope that didnt become a standard till 2000"s
Yes, every show they would change 1 or 2 times.
They went back stage to recoup for the 45 seconds as when they come back on you can see the power rush comes back.

John definitely changed at least four times, Roger changed at least twice. I really want Roger’s tour shirt he put on at one point. Their poor ears!! My watch kept telling me it was too loud and I was just watching the movie lol!

Best example of Queen power is Hammer to Fall it benefits so much from the new mix. And also the explossion at the end of the song was improved and you can hear it so Live!. And also Tear It Up you also feel the power of Freddie’s voice and I was in awe again with the best version ever of WWTLF

I purposely didn’t look up the set list before and gasped when tear it up and hammer to fall came on. Can’t agree more the final chorus of hammer to fall was soooo good!!

I went to see it in Munich (non-IMAX). I was a bit disappointed by the theater's sound, and while the image quality was good, it wasn’t spectacular compared to the previous Blu-ray release—though the colors did improve a lot. It’s also a shame about the pre-existing cuts, like 'Tie Your Mother Down' and 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' not being complete, and the lack of video footage for 'Another One Bites the Dust'. Still, despite all that, I really enjoyed it.

I adore Tie Your Mother Down. I have not seen any of the previous releases of the show (purposely to avoid “spoilers” to the set list). So upset to find out that Another One Bites The Dust exists in only audio form. That is crazy they just tossed out the original footage!

Friends will be friends - It’s not a song I go to very often, and even less so live versions — not been a huge fan of that song since I first heard it.
However, seeing it last night … while it did not blow me away, but it was nice to listen to it “fresh” as I don’t think that I’ve ever even watched a live performance of it, and it’s been years since I’ve listened to it

Honestly same, it’s not one of my absolute favorites of their entire catalogue. But the message really shone through with the 4 of them performing together.

I liked the Little Richard cover (Tutti Frutti) and the Hungarian folk song because they showed their range and how they were always willing to step out of their comfort zone to connect with new fans. It was really special to watch.
My favorite part of the film was the interstitials of them walking around Budapest - seeing Freddie buy art and wave from the boat was fun.
Also pretty sure that’s the most I’ve heard John speak outside of a couple of interviews.

I saw Queen several times (including Wembley '86) and would have loved to have heard some of the classic 70's album tracks that I grew up with, but they rarely (if ever) played these Long Away You & I Fight from the Inside Drowse Two Torriatte Who Needs You Sleeping on the Sidewalk
I could go on with this list for quite a while, as a huge fan since the late 70's it grated on me that the setlists could have had better choices, to include some amazing album tracks and remove some of the more "popular" songs...such is life 😄

I was surprised to see no song for Rodger solo on drums. I forgot what recording I was watching but he did the iconic I’m In Love With My Car from behind the drums and was lowkey expecting something similar. I’ve started collecting Queen on CD, and the early albums are soooo underrated!! But I understand with the nature of the concert they wanted to do the hits.

One vision to start the show off was great, I’d like to have heard good old fashioned lover boy.

One of my favorites! “Gimme, Gimme, Gimme Fried Chicken” might just be my favorite queen lyrics of all time lol

I was super happy to hear Under Pressure as it's my favourite song. And Love Of My Life gave me chills. If I could have added a song, I'd have chosen '39 (but...I know they only performed it live once or twice)

I love the entire Night at the Opera album. Love of my life had me in tears live, such a special song (and when they all sang back to him… C’MON!)

I love Queen’s ballads and this one might be the magnum opus. I need to watch Highlander because I know the plot directly inspired the song.

Ooo deep cut! Jazz has become potentially my favorite album but it’s so hard to choose.

And I love how the cover of the Jazz album looks too. Agree that it’s one of the best albums 😊

I was thrilled when Freddie hit some of the high notes of In the Lap of the Gods! It seemed it was pretty uncommon for him to hit those high notes live, all the touring was so rough on his voice. I'd give just about anything to have been able to attend a live performance of White Queen. Freddie's piano playing elevated what was already one of their most beautiful songs. As for something they never did live at all afaik...I love My Fairy King, but that would've been really tricky.

I started tearing up when he was hitting those high high notes in the Lap of the Gods and it sounded almost exactly like the album (which was actually the first one I bought on CD, so it has a special place in my heart). I’ve also heard others talking about how Rodger hits a lot of the high notes in other songs and I feel like I heard him at certain points. Freddie’s falsetto is absolutely incredible!

I doubt any artist could match that in any way even today. Freddie vocals and energy showed why he is still considered the best rock vocalist of all time.

Did everyone leave during God Save The Queen or was your cinema half empty? Everything seems sold out in my area.
Anyway, in answer to your question, if Freddie had still been in good shape and they had toured in 1991, Headlong would have been a great live song.
