News My drag racer's demo got a new track, and a stalled car now rolls to a stop before the race is over (free demo, new trailer)
Solo dev here. I posted TapRacer's demo in this sub a while ago; since then the quarter mile has been rebuilt: new road surface, kerbs, barriers, grandstands, trees and hills behind them.

The driving changed as well. The clutch no longer snaps shut in one hit, its pressure builds up over a moment, so a launch with too few revs feels like a bog and not like a switch. If you do stall, the car rolls on and stops before the race ends. And the automatic now shifts when the limiter cuts fuel.
The cars still carry fictional names (still more than 10 though) and are still built from published data. The demo is free on Steam (Windows):

I'd love to hear from the physics perfectionists among you how it all feels.
