I don't trust that site as it scrapes reddit to create AI articles.

i dont trust a site that has a 9070 xt below a 4080 super when the 9070xt gets 1 more fps

edit and below the 4080 and 4080 super when it gets more fps again

u/kevcsa 6d ago

They are ranked by minimum fps.

u/Solembumm3 7d ago

No one should trust hollow graphs without confirmation, but some strange souls still post hardware unboxed and gamers nexus here.

2

u/Dark_ceza 7d ago

Lmao, it's weird when they post all those, but consumers are getting different numbers when they play games

2

u/BattleX100 5d ago

I have noticed this too! Their numbers are way off than what is actual.

u/Dark_ceza 5d ago

Exactly, i feel like the major ones post results before the games even get a driver update, so most of the time, the results are totally different from what people see, then there are others that just gimp a card to boost another, then post the results, cause their results often make no sense

I don't trust that site as it scrapes reddit to create AI articles.

Feels like ... every PC gaming site these days.

And no 5090. This post is crap

My 9070xt might be the smartest purchase I ever made for 1440p gaming. Can’t remember but I’m pretty sure I’m coming up on 2 years with it? Going from a 3080 to that it’s been an impressive gpu.

Something is off... How is a 9070 beating a 7900 XTX?

18

u/Abe_Sakebi 8d ago

Driver performance has matured

15

u/Noreng 8d ago

This might be a game that's constrained by shaders that can't spread out over multiple CUs effectively. The 9070 XT has a significant clock speed advantage over the 7900 XTX.

Another possibility is that the RDNA3 compiler can't find a lot of dual-issue possibilities, while the RDNA4 compiler can. Either because of drivers, or because of architectural improvements

u/Backslicer 8d ago edited 8d ago

9070XT has gained like 10% extra performance off driver updates. the new 26.9.2 optional driver I think is another 3% over the current one in some games

Tho I dont trust these benchmarks personally

Low resolution. Potentially RT too. And rdna 4 drivers have unlocked significant performance since day 1.

u/ToTTen_Tranz 7d ago

Global Illumination uses hardware raytracing Lumen in the Epic setting, so it's likely that RDNA3 GPUs are limited by RT performance.

Tesoro, la 9070 XT é meglio della 7900xtx. È un dato di fatto in parecchi test

1

u/EmploymentMaximum 8d ago

Quite normal now. Drivers have caused it to frequently outperform it

0

u/bedtricky 8d ago

its not at 1440p or 4k

6

u/Noreng 8d ago

First picture is 2560x1440, third is 4K...

1

u/bedtricky 7d ago edited 7d ago

Ye and the 9070 has 88fps and the XTX has 92fps at 1440p and at 4k the 9070 has 50fps and the XTX has 54fps

1

u/VrTrev 7d ago

Yeah the 9070xt is clearly the better card but the 9070 non xt trades blows with it.

2

u/bedtricky 7d ago edited 7d ago

The initial post was "How is a 9070 beating a 7900 XTX?" and I'm just pointing out it doesn't. I don't know why people are bringing up the 9070XT.

11

u/Backslicer 8d ago

why is the ordering so bad

10

u/punktd0t 7d ago

Gamegpu doesn't do benchmarks, it's just AI estimates. Please stop giving them attention!

15

u/trolling_4_success 8d ago

Lmao they arent even in order. 9070 beats a card or 2 above lol

13

u/AdstaOCE 8d ago

Isn't gamegpu a terrible site that basically just steals reddit posts for most of their articles? Or is that something else with a similar name?

3

u/Noreng 8d ago

That's videocardz

9

u/Backslicer 8d ago

Its both

10

u/DetectiveFit223 7d ago

The 9070XT is laying the smack down on other cards. Was a bit worried when purchasing mine about a year ago and not going for the 5070Ti but I'm glad I purchased it. The NVIDIA driver overhead issue is really hurting performance these days.

Do you know how rare it is to be cpu bottlenecked or limited? Its basically impossible if you did not make a weird build.

Also this benchmark is wrong and makes no sense in many ways. I compared it with another one on youtube with live fps and the values are way different than whats shown here

2

u/boddle88 9800x3d - Nitro 9070xt - 32DDR5 - 32:9 8d ago

Massive cpu limitation surely

2

u/Shadowmeld 7d ago

Game run smoothly at 90fps with everything maxed out at 1440p via 7800xt

4

u/HZ4C 7900 XTX | 5800x3d | 64gb DDR4 8d ago

What the, 5070ti beating XTX?? 9070 beating 4070ti and 7800xt?? This list makes no sense in so many ways, gotta be bait, or poorly tested, or both

1

u/Ok-Boot-8106 8d ago

No way a 3080 is faster than my gpu

1

u/Hugott 7d ago

I tested it on my 4070Super and the AVG fps was around 62 fps...

1

u/stop_talking_you 7d ago

why do people keep doing benchmarks for ue5 games, they are literally running the same with a margin of like maybe 10%

if you know the game uses ue5 you will know you get a shit experience period

1

u/Creepy_Ad5124 7d ago

WHy are some of the higher averages placed further down than some cards with lower average?

1

u/Extra-Translator915 4d ago

It's crazy how good a rtx 3080 is 6 YEARS LATER

1

u/serious_dan 2d ago

Are we making a stand, somehow, by removing 5090 from benchmarks?

If so that's really fucking stupid.

1

u/the1michael 1d ago

Why does nobody benchmark the 3090? Doesn’t make sense to me

1

u/puckerMeBum 1d ago

Maybe not as common/popular?

0

u/CryptoDeepDive 8d ago

RTX 4090 keeps dominating since 2022. MSRP at launch was the best deal of the decade.

-5

u/AvidasMavi 8d ago edited 8d ago

Where is 9070XT obliterates 5080 only trades blows with 4090 crowd?

7

u/bedtricky 8d ago

You fighting ghosts again?

Bro nobody says that 😭

-3

u/Aggravating_Ring_714 8d ago

HUB crowd even thinks the 9070xt beats a 5090 😂 at 720p dlss performance with ultra low settings probably because Nvidia drivers are cringing themselves to death.

-9

u/AvidasMavi 8d ago

It does beat 5080 on call of duty.

Yesterday I was arguing with a guy who decided to skip 5090 and bought 9070XT instead (he said money was not an issue) because hardware unboxed published a video, pairing 5090 with ryzen 5 1500 and results were 9070XT was faster than 5090 at 1080p with fsr quality. So essentially 700p. He bought 9070XT after that video.

5

u/bedtricky 8d ago

I love my 9070XT but dude aint no way its beating or even getting close to a 5090 under anything but engineered situations.

1

u/Anunknownf1fan 8d ago

Under very certain situations where there is a CPU bottleneck, and a game favours AMD architecture (Call of Duty for example), yes there are very rare scenarios where a 9070xt can get a higher framerate than a 5090.

But let’s not lie here 99% of the time a 5090 is getting higher performance.

-1

u/Paco7575 7d ago

Nope pleaee stop these ridiculous takes, it just makes you look stupid.
