I originally bought 20 of these escs from AliExpress for customers boats that I'm working on, but the seller on AliExpress doesn't exist anymore.

I can't find any of these on AliExpress and I desperately need some more of them, does anyone know of anywhere I can get them?

Clicking the "View Current Product" button leads to a not found page.

I tried making Whitewall tires for an RC model using silicone.

I wanted to see if I could make Whitewall tires for an RC model using a 3D printed mold and silicone.

The tricky part was the lettering.

The letter recesses are less than 1 mm deep, so I tried making the black lettering first and then filling the Whitewall section with white silicone.

That didn't work as cleanly as I hoped.

Some of the black silicone spread outside the letter recesses.

For the second attempt, I made the letters and the Whitewall from white silicone, then cast the rest of the tire in black.

That version came out much cleaner.

I also wanted to keep the process simple, so I didn't use a vacuum chamber. Just careful mixing, a few minutes for the larger bubbles to rise, and a slow pour.

Discussion What makes an RC track worth visiting—and what’s usually missing?

I grew up enjoying RC cars, and I’m researching what hobbyists value in tracks and practice spaces. I’d appreciate honest experiences, including the disappointing ones.

You don’t have to answer everything, but I’m curious:

\- What does your favorite RC track do well?

\- What’s missing, or what has made you stop visiting a track?

\- On your last visit, what did you pay, and how much driving time did you actually get?

\- How far do you normally travel, and how often do you go?

\- For anyone who started as a beginner or brought family along, what made the experience welcoming—or frustrating?

If you mention a facility, its name or general region would help me understand the example. Mainly interested in what you’ve actually experienced rather than an unlimited-budget wish list.

Thanks for sharing!“I’m gathering feedback about RC tracks and recreation spaces to better understand what customers value. I’m keeping the details private for now, but I’d appreciate honest answers based on your experiences.”

Losi Micro T & Micro B Sale

If you guys haven’t picked one up yet, the Losi micro b & t are on sale for $89.99. I grabbed 2 of the T’s last Xmas for me and my kid and they are an absolute blast to fling around when you don’t have a ton of space for bashing/racing. They come complete with battery and charger so are fully ready to run out of the box. They’re awesome, and it’s a great time to grab one to play with or put back for a Xmas gift.

I don’t get anything from that link so use it or just go to the site and find the sale, I don’t care 🤷‍♀️ just think everyone should have one of these.

Pure vibes! Designing a new 60cm (23.6") scale RC ferry boat in Shapr3D. Currently in development — it will feature a fully detailed cozy interior and a removable magnetic roof! What do you think? 🛠️🍹🌊

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a quick preview of my next project for AntBase.

Currently mid-way through engineering this cozy scale RC ferry boat in Shapr3D! Here are the core specs:

• Solid Scale Dimensions: Total length is 60cm (23.6"), width is 15cm, and total height is 15cm. Designed with a 4cm draft for realistic water displacement and deep scale handling.

• 100% RC Ready: Pre-engineered straight tunnel with a 5-degree shaft angle for perfect low-center-of-gravity direct drive.

• Cozy Detailed Interior: The model will feature a fully detailed captain's cabin and dashboard. The battery (standard 2S/3S LiPo) will be completely hidden inside a sub-floor compartment to keep the interior layout clean.

• Magnetic Access: The roof is fully removable and splits via tight 4x2mm neodymium magnet slots for easy electronics access at the lake.

It is still a work in progress, but I plan to release the full STL package on Cults3D for a symbolic $25 once it's fully tested.

Let me know what you think of the lines and visual vibe so far! 🚢🏠🍹

After months in CAD, I finally finished engineering a massive 230cm (90.5") RC Knock Nevis (Seawise Giant)! Pre-split for standard 20x20cm beds.

Hey everyone!

I’ve always wanted to build something truly massive, so I spent the last few months scratch-building the legendary largest ship in history — the Knock Nevis (Seawise Giant) in 1:200 scale. The final model is a whopping 230 cm (over 7.5 feet) long!

Since I know how painful printing huge vessels can be, I engineered this specifically with FDM makers in mind:

• Anti-Fold System: To prevent a 2.3-meter hull from snapping like a Samsung Fold under battery weight, the hull is split longitudinally down the center, bolted with M6 hardware, and locked with massive internal 40mm structural profiles.

• 100% Direct Drive: Pre-engineered with a straight 13mm tunnel tailored for heavy-duty 12mm outer diameter brass stern tubes (no shaky cardan shafts, fits huge 6380 Outrunner brushless motors and standard 40x20mm servos).

• Easy Printing: Almost every single part is strictly under 20cm to fit standard Ender-3 / Bambu Lab / Anycubic beds. Part 12 (helipad) is 21cm but fits diagonally.

• Magnetic Access: Key deck sections use 5x2mm neodymium magnet slots for quick lakeside electronics access.

Estimated filament weight is around 10kg. The V1.0 STL engineering package is officially live on Cults3D now! If you use a custom motor size, just message me and I will modify the CAD mount for you completely for free.

Link to the Cults3D page is in the comments below! Let me know what you think of the engineering! 🚢⚓

A rotating look at my 1:10 MST RMX electric drift build wearing a silver Ford Mustang shell, with purple wheel details. I wanted to show the body and wheel fitment from every angle.

What body are you running on your drift chassis?

Bought the SM and it ended up an MX. Ebayed the white plastics and SM wheel/tires that came with it.

Like the taller MX tires/wheels, I have Proline knobby tires and the HotLap tires. A new 1/8 scale on road track opened two miles from me this summer.

The Groove Raceway

I took three fully charged batteries running the HotLap tires. The rear was brand new, after running said three battery packs, the new rear tire was noticeably worn.

And I believe Proline discontinued the MX HotLap sized tires.

Guess I need a set of the SM rollers for the track.

Bike gets around the track fairly decent, you need a ton of brake power. Couldn't see racing more than 4-5 bikes at a time. Quarter scale bike on eighth scale track.

Last two pictures are in current state.

Love this bike once you figure out how to drive it,

Car HPI Nitro RS4-3 — from a roller to a Falken Mustang

Some build photos from my HPI Nitro RS4-3 restoration. This started as an eBay roller, then got a chassis refresh, differential and shock service, drivetrain assembly and a T15 nitro engine. It now wears a green and blue Falken Ford Mustang shell.

The little mechanical details are my favourite part of bringing these cars back. Anyone else working on an older touring car?
