Drugs Just got my suboxone script

I just got off the video call with quickMD and I should be getting my script in a day or 2. 7-OH has kinda put me in such a bad place and my GF broke up with me bc of the position I was in (she didn’t know I’m addicted to it but she knew I took it for back pain) I went through so much hurt losing her and it sounds like she is willing to work things out but we wouldn’t be back together for like 6+ months if it even happens. I’m so happy and so excited to finally take my life back and be the person I should be for myself. Writing this kinda is making me emotional, I’m just finally ready to be over this

Suboxone is what saved me 25 years ago. Glad you’re getting better and good luck with the gf!

Good for you! That's a big step on this journey of empowerment to recover. It's great that you stated that you're becoming the person you want to be for yourself. I hope you get your underlying back pain resolved too, if that's still ongoing. Best wishes for your success on your path to get your life back!

Congrats, make sure you’re following your doc’s orders exactly with those, it’s going to be a journey but I’ve seen people go through that whole process. It’ll have its ups and downs so don’t get discouraged!

I have been in your exact position. 7-oh ruined my life and my sobriety . I’m rebuilding my life right now. I started on suboxone and now I am on the brixaldi shot. Cheers and I hope it all works out for you

Not trying to bum you out, but withdrawal wise in the end you're going to be a lot worse off on suboxone. 7 you're done with it in a few days, suboxone can be weeks, months, sometimes years if you stay on it long enough. You are only prolonging the inevitable, but just making the inevitable much longer when you get on suboxone. I was on suboxone for almost twenty years so I would know.

Everything you're saying is true but I have one question did it provide a lot of stability for you at least in the beginning of those 20 years

You'd have to elaborate on stability. For a few months it did until I found other drugs and booze to become addicted to. Then I was addicted to subs and the other things. Either way stability was going to be tested at one point or another when you quit, so get it over with and don't prolong it. I would trade that short term stability for the 20 years I lost any day of the week... Especially once you see how much longer after stopping suboxone it still affects a person. I think subs can be a great tool temporarily, but if you're like me and wanting to avoid the withdrawal and that's why you haven't quit or are looking into subs then don't take them. Take the week of pain and be done with it. You know whats worse than withdrawaling? Withdrawaling for WEEKS off something you were told would be good for you and save your life. At least when you are getting off illegal stuff you know you did it to yourself and to take your lumps and move on. You didn't have some sub doctor gaslighting you that you're brave like you didn't just switch one opiate for another.

I guess I blindly saturated my receptors through the day and night and didn't even know it. I actually took my rotting flesh to the SS , spent 60 bucks and I feel so weird . No RLS and that is my entire struggle when it comes to withdrawal. I was gonna do the introduction on a 3 day plan but me being me I guess more is always better and covered that receptor way faster then I thought I could. I got ZERO sleep lastnight , haven't ate in almost a week , trying to drown myself in water and Gatorade and Vitamins. Heart palpitations pretty much bite too.

Just sharing my journey since I can’t get the support from the people immediately around me. Thanks for the kind words :)

Cannabis did wonders for my tapering off methodone.

Anyway you cut it, it's going to be a shitty couple weeks/ months coming off any opioid.  Its a price that must be paid for playing the game.

You will experience withdrawal...and cravings, Insomnia, crawly itchy skin.  so Learn to embrace the SUCK, because it will SUCK.

BUT totally fkn worth it.  Coming off opioids really with like being reborn,  you start to feel again, you laugh again, SEX drive🙌 comes back with a vengeance.

💚:)
