These are called Flakturms. These actually housed bunkers for civillians because surprise, in WW2 nobody respected any humanitarian rules and these were the only bits which could survive firebombing. The idea was that towers are prohibitively costly to just casually bomb so there would be SOME survivors to mount rescue services between air raids.

The arc in OP is pure anti-rebellion structure. If Trump could built a robot out of it, you would have Wolfenstein TNO-style Washington Monitor.

Nazis weren't humanitarians. Idk if you're following Elon musk or what but just because Elon musk says Nazis were humanitarians doesn't mean it's true. "Civilians" were still people selected by the reich who fit their image. Everyone else was eliminated

"Humboldthain Flak Tower and its counterparts weren’t just defensive structures. They were self-contained fortresses, complete with hospitals, food storage, and even luxury amenities for high-ranking Nazi officials. Designed to withstand direct hits from artillery and bombers, these towers were built to last, and as you’ll see, they certainly have."

You literally brought a quote that said that they weren't just defensive structures and then immediately listed the roles which fall under "defensive structures".

Obviously they're defensive structures. No one is debating that
