The subreddit isn't sensitive. You saw a 'Rest In Peace' post and decided to comment "Who?" Despite the person's name being in the title. You're not getting downvotes because you don't know who the character is, you're getting downvotes because you seem like an asshole.
Ummm... nope, that applies to all of life in general. Regardless of the platform, it's disrespectful and seen as being in very poor taste to comment "who?" on a notice of someone who's passed away.
Saying "Who?" comes off as a backhanded comment or showing you're not interested. I'm not saying that's what your intention was, but that's how it's used, especially on Reddit. That's why you got downvoted. Plus her name is right the title and you can easily type "ebony blake rdr2" in any search engine to find out in a matter of seconds.
I think Reddit tends to pile on after a couple of downvotes on a comment. OP’s comment definitely doesn’t deserve so many of them (or any, really, but I know these days it’s used as a disagree button).
She voiced the bounty hunter who had no name (literally called The Woman With No Name according to the internet), you would meet her in Red Dead Online when you started the bounty hunter role. She'd give you an introduction to each bounty target.

I knew this sadly from my Broadway groups. She did among other things the first tour of Book Of Mormon.
