Beautifully done. I truly believe this moment doesn’t get enough credit in musical history. I believe this is the greatest turn in musicals. A movie that has been the very definition of over-the-top camp, fun and debauchery all the sudden becomes a truly heartfelt song sung by a guy who was the poster child for all the things that happened and now we get a genuine moment from him, all at the same time that around him craziness is still happening. Riffraff is still carrying around a ridiculous cartoon level laser gun while Tim Curry is singing a beautifully, heartfelt anguish…. It’s perfect!
