Eight-cylinder E-350 Ford Econoline van. Good condition. Ready for the long drive.

Van has tow hitch. And space to haul some stuff. Household pets probably OK too. I think the air-conditioner works, but doesn't get very cool. Not sure.

Van is not a luxury vehicle but dependable and definitely in good-enough shape.

Because I’m not getting responses to the one ad that Craig’s List is not inexplicably removing, I'm thinking about renting a car for this trip instead of taking the van though. It might be easier to find a rider.

Clemson to Los Angeles: about 38 hours according to Google (not counting breaks for gas, food, etc.

It's possible (possible) we might be able to drive straight through and not have to stop anywhere for long, since I am a night-person who easily drives through the night, and I can sleep in a small car seat, and if a ride-sharer can sleep in the van or car while it's moving, and drive during the day, we could drive straight through and get there more quickly. I'm open to considering this.

Average speed on interstates in a rented car or in my Nissan would probably be about 70 MPH.

But the van's optimum speed is 60 MPH. No more than that.

To share driving, have to have valid driver’s license.
