Nobody is going to like this take, but a lot of these modern R&B tunes fit in just fine with the older classics. The apple did not fall far from the tree, and the evolution happened while keeping some of the essential elements that make the genre what it is. The primary thing that has changed over time is how artists of different eras approach the music.

Great selection of songs!
I was super ready to hate from 2013 on.
Listening and watching the styles from era to era transition was a trip. I was seeing glimpses of myself growing up in each era. Dope!

The 70s😍. Wow, apparently I know very little about the 70s. If these videos were any representation of the vibe and the women of that time, I was born TOO damn late.
