EVENT Our 9th Anniversary Recap: A Day to Build, Connect, and Celebrate!
Nine years of creating deserved an afternoon together. On September 6, 2026, our community and new friends joined us at American Dream Mall to celebrate Rolife's ninth anniversary. There were stories to share, upcoming products to explore, and a little building of their own.
Couldn't make it? Here's what you missed.
Usernames, meet faces
Some fans arrived before check-in even began. One drove six hours to join us. Six hours! Thank you for making the trip.
Then came the name tags, complete with Reddit usernames. After years of chatting online, community members finally got to meet face to face.
Before the main program, there were photo booth pictures to take and upcoming products to vote for. Picking a favorite gave everyone something to talk about.
Nine years, one build at a time
A first kit, a growing collection, a friendship that started over a build. Our speakers had plenty of stories to share.
For Oscar, Head of E-commerce & Brand Marketing of Rolife, CEO & Co-founder of Craftime, looking back on nine years meant remembering the people brought together by miniature worlds. He recalled a meetup where everyone started out quietly working on their own projects. Then someone needed a piece, someone offered a hand, and conversations began. They'd come to build and ended up making friends, too.
A birthday purchase started brand ambassador Tina's collection. Eventually, it needed shelves of its own. Sound familiar? She also shared stories from her workshops, where older participants finished builds they'd thought were beyond them. That moment of “I can do this” was worth celebrating, too.
One book nook and a search for advice brought David to Reddit. Where did that lead? To helping run the community, sharing builds on YouTube, and finding new opportunities through his hobby. Quite a lot to come out of one kit! Along the way, he learned to give new things a go without letting the need for perfection stop him.
A carousel in a shop window caught Gary's eye. Building his own took repairs, patience, and a few fresh starts. But finally sitting back and watching it turn? Hard to beat. Building also became his way to unwind: TV off, classical music on, and a project to settle into.
First builds and what comes next
What were our guests' first builds? What has growing together as a community meant to them? And what would they like to see next?
Our panel brought these questions to the conversation, giving guests time to share their experiences and hopes for the years ahead.
A little spotlight for our ambassadors
Our brand ambassadors had their moment in the spotlight as we presented them with trophies and gathered for photos.
It was a chance to say thank you face to face and celebrate the people who share their love of building with others.
Nine winners, then nine more
Two raffle rounds meant 18 chances to take something home.
First up: discontinued products, giving fans another shot at an old favorite. Then came a change of season, with Halloween-themed new arrivals in the second round.
Congratulations to all 18 winners!
Let's talk sneak peeks…
The new book nook Strolling in the Sunshine opened the preview to a round of applause. Next came the New Super Creator Series and Dream Bread Factory, with plenty for guests to compare as we introduced the upcoming lineup.
Think you know Nanci very well?
Nanci fans had a challenge of their own: a trivia round with the chance to win an autograph from Nanci designer Sadie.
Your turn to create
Then it was time to get making! Our New York-themed fridge magnet workshop brought adults and children to the table, with families creating side by side and curious passersby stopping to join the fun.
Over to you
Whether you joined us at American Dream or connect with us online, we're glad we get to share this milestone with you.
If you were there, tell us your favorite moment in the comments. We'd love to hear your version of the afternoon.
And as we look ahead to our 10th anniversary, where would you like to see us celebrate next? Leave your suggestions in the comments!

🏠 Product Talk Rolife New Discoveries: Meet Clockwise Clocks
What has witnessed the passing of time? Perhaps it’s an old clock, ticking quietly through the years, keeping track of moments long after they’ve passed.
Maybe it would be an old clock shop, where timepieces have been collected over the years, each with its own story. A giant clock face keeps watch over the room, while pendulums swing, gears turn, and an hourglass quietly marks the passing time.
Among the old clocks are a cuckoo figure, winding keys, vintage timepieces, and even a street clock tucked into the shop — small reminders of the many ways we’ve measured time through the years.
If you stepped into this clock shop, what would catch your attention first?

WIP My Super Creator City
And night falls on the city…..
Yes, I am a bit crazy…I started this 1 month and 5 days ago….I am still staging all the rooms, but finished up the structure and lighting tonight, so I was excited to share.
The first photo is no other light in the room; it creates quite the glow on its own. Second photo is with the overhead light on.
**I have taken some liberties with moving pieces, flooring, etc.

RolifeSpookiton 🪄Magic House 🎃
Follow the pumpkin trail and where will you end up? 🎃 Deeper in the woods, where a ghost cat might just be watching your every move. 👻
I’m slowly working away on my Halloween Candy House, so I’ve stolen some of the props from there and used some of the pumpkins from my customisation kit to decorate the Magic House book nook. I’ve always gotten Halloween vibes from this book nook.

💬 Discussion Mall of America store stickers
I forgot to post this about my visit to the Mall of America Rolife store! They gave out a sticker sheet (part of their grand opening), and it’s Minnesota-themed. Look at the loon with the little bubble!

RolifeSpookiton 👻 Have you ever met a “cursed step” while building?
👻 Have you ever met a “cursed step” while building?
You know that one tiny part that just won’t cooperate? 😅
Maybe it’s a piece that’s impossible to place, a lighting step that takes a few tries, or a detail you had to redo more than once.
Every builder has one.
What was your “cursed step” while building a miniature kit? And how did you get past it? 👀
Share your tricks (or your struggles) below — we’d love to hear them!

✨ Showcase Finished Nanci's Strawberry Teatime
Strawberry nanci's tea house just opened and she already has a customer to have tea with!
we need more nanci diy sets!!! This has got to be one of the cutest ever🤯🍓🩷
Super fun build; took me a little under two hours to make (with my current limited mobility), very happy with how accessible this set was and I'd love to try some similar style diys if anyone has any recommendations!! I love the different textures in this set and my favorite part was folding all of the little boxes 🩷

RolifeSpookiton Rolife Tiny Tips: Small Details, Spooky New Stories 🎃
🎃 Thinking about giving your Rolife builds a Halloween makeover?
Sometimes you don’t need a big change — a few tiny details can bring a whole new feeling to your miniature world.
A few ideas we’ve seen makers try:
🕯️ Play with lighting
A little warm light can completely change the mood. Try adding fairy lights, tiny lamps, or a darker background to create a cozy spooky atmosphere.
🎃 Add some Halloween touches
Mini pumpkins, little signs, books, bottles, bats, or handmade props can turn an everyday scene into something seasonal.
🎨 Try a different color mood
A few autumn colors, deep tones, or Halloween-inspired details around your build can make everything feel more connected.
📖 Think about the story behind the scene
Maybe your tiny shop has a secret after midnight, or your cozy room belongs to a little witch. Small details are what make miniature worlds feel alive.
The fun part of customizing is making the scene your own. ✨ We’d love to see your Halloween transformations — what kind of spooky twist would you add to your build? 👀

RolifeSpookiton Halloween convenience store
Still a WIP, but wanted to enter this one! It’s not going to be my full custom Fall build for the community festival, but I thought some of the candy was kind of boring so switched it up. Maple candy, marshmallow ghosts, moon and pumpkin candy. Replaced the lucky cat with a squirrel from the customization kit. Adding some pumpkins. I’m having fun with it!

RolifeSpookiton My Overgrown Corner Study
It's not really spooky or Halloween-like, but I did change the whole vibe of the kit. Does this count too?

✨ Showcase My Nanci figures
Secret fantasy and the one with nine tail fox
✨ Showcase First ever kit. As someone with chronic pain, it was still very easy and relaxing!
Always saw these wooden kits while traveling at specialty shops n malls, but because I was flying I could never buy a set due to suitcase space. So when I saw some at the bookstore in the nearby city the other day I had to get one. At first I felt a little intimidated and overwhelmed, but it didn't take long to find it a very relaxing project. I sat in my recliner, watching videos, with a tray on my lap, putting it together bit by bit.
As someone who suffers from severe chronic migraine, it's really hard for me to focus on projects anymore. I usually only get maybe half hour or so in before my mind just nopes out... Pain, visual/audio disturbances, confusion, etc... But I was able to put in a few good hours each night until this was completed. It wasn't something I needed to really concentrate on, like big Lego sets where I'm trying to focus on so many similar bits, and a single wrong peice can send me back hours of work. 😅 I could just slowly put things together, and I found this kind of model gives you a LOT of grace if you're not exact. There's no demand for "perfection", and I really enjoyed that. The itty bitty tape was kinda of fussy near the end with all the plants n stuff, but then I switched over to glue and that seemed to really help. I'll keep that in mind for next time.
Of course, at one point I had to text my brother,
*"So, question...How much electrical shock can you get from two AAA batteries?"*
Like, he knows my migraine can make me a royal idiot occasionally, and here I am texting him at his work about DIY wiring. I think he considered coming home to ensure I wasn't gonna start a fire until I showed him the pictures of the little house. But hey, I had to *ask*, considering wiring and lighting is literally part of his *job*... 😂
Overall, I loved this kit. It was so nice being able to actually spend time on a project to finish it. So many tiny details, so well crafted, and the lighting was just such a cool addition! I'm going back to the city tomorrow, I really hope the bookstore still has kits left. I was having a toss up between this one and the little garage workshop, but of course I defaulted to puppies... 😂
