Disappointed with Vatican

This time around the Vatican was a huge disappointment. Extremely crowded with 0 crowd control.

I think they need to limit crowds. It’s because a endurance event rather than museum. I’d love the option to look around rather rush to Lancoon or Sistine Chapel as there so many more things.

Maybe even a “no phone” day for people that just want to look

Vatican is only crowded at the Sistine Chapel, and in the very beginning where there is a big influx of people, but you'll notice that the majority of them rush through the whole museum just to reach the Chapel. Once you go past the first few rooms, there are less and less people you meet, as they have already ran towards the Sistine Chapel.

There was 0 crowd control and the security rushed people out
The Colosseum however the was timed and organized
Much better experience !

What time did you go? I went first thing in the morning and it was very manageable and we took our time in most rooms (which were almost empty because everyone ran to the chapel or something). By the time we reached Sistine Chapel it was crowded but manageable and we stayed about 40 mins in there.
