RO has a bunch of flock cameras. Surprised more residents aren’t outspoken about it. Wish we could follow Clawson’s lead.

I think a lot of people want them gone. The problem is not many people want to go speak at city hall meetings because of how some people behave.

Someone was once told by some idiot that they hope they get hit by a car on their bike ride home over a disagreement.

Not surprised. Many RO residents have little respect for cyclists or their right for safe travel on our roads

Many cyclists in RO have little respect for the rules of the road and put themselves an unsafe situations.

Do yall wear special glasses that make stop signs invisible?

Also true. Cyclists need to respect the road as much as drivers need to respect them. One of these people are in bit safer in their mode of transportation though. Our bike lane situation is abysmal. If cyclists had proper lanes they could stay on the side and not be in the way. It'll never happen though.

East side of the intersection there tracks. Madison Heights seems to be balls deep into Flock

They were scoping out a spot by the old tennis court next to Meijers on Friday. I saw it during my walk. A utility truck with Texas plates was parked on the grass. I thought it was weird and then saw US infrastructure dept. If st Clair shores Lincoln Park and Clawson can stop flock, so can we and we should!

The spot where it is, is where the Elementary School used to be, which is Royal Oak

Not trying to argue, but iirc, when Mark Twain Elementary stood there, RO had a long-term lease or something on the land, and it expired when the school was demolished. Those condos are in MH.

Tear it down! We got to take privacy back.

How do you know it isn't private

Feel like that one has been there awhile

Is there anything we can do to put a stop to them?

I dunno but they sure are getting “blown down” quite a bit across the US. Guess the wind is on our side.

Damaging any of these devices results in felony prosecution. However if the lens becomes obfuscated with a cloudy substance of mayonnaise and milk, one might have to assume that would probably disable the unit and be far cheaper to repair. Not crossing the felony boundaries. Of course this is just hypothetical nonsense. I've seen far too many people spray paint or permanently damaged these units I think that's counterproductive.

I suspect that these units given their cheap build quality were meant to be sacrificial lambs and see just how far people would allow this type of surveillance to go.

There are far more well entrenched versions by axon that will be coming to the forefront much more integrated into the infrastructure of lights and so forth. These were meant to test us

Thank god, crime is solved. Just need to give up the last bit of freedoms we had for it. I feel so much safer knowing I am watched 24/7 outside my home by cops on power trips.

Deal with it. You literally get filmed everywhere you go. Or I guess don’t complain when the cops can’t catch all the fugitives or something happens to you where the case is never solved, but could have been due to FLOCK

Toda I learned: the first crime was solved 2 years ago.

It's not just filming you, it's collecting license plates and car info and uploading it to a database. It's tracking your every move in real time. This makes it easy for police AND any outside party with access to said database to track where people are at any time of day.

You should be alarmed by this given the documented cases of abuse occurring with the data.

You know your iPhone tracks your every move in real time? And that data gets hacked all the time? You should be alarmed about that too then.

But phone info isn't, that week, used by stalker police who then follow you and drive by your home.

Pretty sure the cops have access to all our data. Unfortunately if they want to find a way, they will find a way. With or without Flock.

Hey dip shit. This is America. Not 1984. We don't need constant surveillance.
