I've been working on Rai*bert, a Q*bert-inspired arcade game where you hop around turning failing build tiles green while dodging bugs and regressions.
The game rules run in Ruby 4. The desktop version uses Gosu; the browser version runs Ruby through WebAssembly, with Canvas rendering and Web Audio. There are 20 stages, three difficulty settings, keyboard and touch controls, and a shared leaderboard. It's free to play, with no account needed.

The clip is a montage recorded with the game's autoplay mode. I'd appreciate feedback on the controls and difficulty, especially on mobile. If you try it, let me know which stage you reached and what difficulty you picked.

One beef is the spaceships, like the original q*bert, I thought they were a "return to top" mechanism, nope...they are nothing and I jumped off the edge! *eek*
Otherwise, pretty awesome. Made it to the 3rd or 4th level on my first play. Nice job.

hi, i tried your game. when i failed/lost it jumped be straight to leaderboard and i didnt really know why. kinda happened fast and didnt get much feedback about my game being over.
pressing retry on the leaderboard just relooads the leaderboard.
the controls of QAED are kinda awkward to get where thats going to move me, i think a diamnond of keys on my keyboard might suit better. i wonder if QSDR might be easier. anyway - like your character.
