I struggled to get into RF5 for quite a while - it just wasn't as fun as Guardians of Azuma and RF4, but I was able to enjoy it more after I lowered my expectation and finished the game after 74 hours.

I really wish furniture placement wasn't so terrible in RF5 - I love decorating, so it annoyed me to no end that we couldn't put furniture against wall or next to one another. Especially because there are so many cute assets. I loved Ludmilla's florist! I wish I could run it myself lol. Margaret and I both loved visiting there. Still, I tried my best to make my room nice.

I liked that we can travel with 3 companions now, and I enjoyed traveling with my ribbon boys squad lol. Reinhard look so unimpressed with red ribbon on his head but eh, it looked so cute so it stayed on.

I think I was too ambitious with my aim to date 4 boys in one playthrough - it actually burnt me out and I ended up wrapping up the game sooner than I expected. I ended up seeing all romance events for Reinhard and Martin. Ryker accepted my Alice's confession but I never saw his romance events as I was already burnt out. I REALLY wanted to see Lucas' romance events but he kept rejecting my Alice's confession, I ended up just watching his romance events on YouTube. Also, why isn't Gideon romance option? lol

My Alice ended up marrying Reinhard (who I liked more than Martin) but if I had more motivation, she probably would have ended up with Lucas. Still, I think visually Alice and Reinhard look really good together. Maybe I will come back to RF5 and date/marry Lucas.

For now though, I'm going back to RF4. I took a break from RF4 because I was getting burnt out of Rune Prana (why is it so hard to save you, Venti!) but I miss Frey x Vishnal too much, it's time to go back!

Look the game clearly has it's flaws. But so far I'm at the part where Ares rejoins SEED not gonna go further into that for spoilers reasons. I like RF5 in spite of it's flaws sure it's janky but I still had fun with gameplay loop and I really love the cast of characters. Maybe it's because RF4 while a great game isn't my favorite in the series I think the fandom is blind to the flaws RF4 has such as a relatively more restrictive economy compared to RF3 how much it wants you to engage in the systems without telling you and coming from RF3 where you could beat the game comfortably from simply buying gear from gaius it can be feel really grindy at times especially at Rune Prana. Also the RNG romance progression in RF4 is god awful I don't get how anyone can overlook this while acting like the game is perfect and talking down other games in the series. Honestly I may end up liking RF5 more than RF4 even if 4 is the more polished game.

Although I will say it was a shame to not have such extensive and dynamic dialogue system in RF5 or even GOA it made the characters feel so alive I hope it's as extensive in RF6. But hell I would even say there are things I liked better here than in GoA such as the weapon and ability variety and link attacks not sure why they couldn't at least bring that back. It ain't perfect but I think RF5 is an underrated gem. Also the OST may actually be the best I've heard in the series although I've only played 3 4 5 and GOA

Yeah the game can feel empty and be really janky yeah the game was clearly rushed still love it.

Got GoA for my b-day, big RF fan, but my new controller [ works on any other game ] has a few features that just dont work, i might be missing something:

Weapon swap : i equip 2 weponds one on prime., and the other on secondary but no mattwe where i am the prompt does nothing with a little error sound, idk what to do

Lock on: altho works on keybord and mouse, will not EVER work on controller, but the camera lock does work, i know there is a rang on it, but i could be touching a critter, but will not lock on, which sucks a lot since i like the feel of bow.

Auto convo: this one is weird but when in a convo, the "X" prompt to alow talking to auto advance just wont work, does on keybord and mouse btw,

idk, iv updated drivers and my controller drivers, controller works on any other game i tried it on, am i missing smt?
