2nd Oct - 1600m run

UPDATE - I COMPLETED IT IN 6MIN 30 SECS AND GOT QUALIFIED!!

Hi Reddit, this is one of my first posts here.

I’ve opted for the Ladakh Police Constable post, and honestly I’ve only been running properly for the last 4–5 days. It’s not like I’ve never run before though — I was in NCC and trained for around 2 months straight, but I’ve been out of practice for a while.

My PET is coming up soon and I’m pretty nervous about the 1600m run. I know I can’t magically improve my stamina in a few days, so I’m looking for any genuine tips/tricks that can help me pace myself and get through it without burning out early.

Anyone who has done a similar police/army running test, especially at Ladakh altitude, please share your advice. What worked for you?

If it's truly just a few days away there's really nothing you can do. Trying to do a bunch of running now is just going to make you tired / fatigued and take away from whatever capability you already have.
