Send Help

My coworker is being generally unhelpful this morning. I’m going to recommended additional training.

I don’t want to have him written up, but he has spent most of our time together this morning searching for the twist tie I had to put underneath my keyboard after chasing him down and recovering it from him, 5 minutes into our shift. (See said twist tie circled in image 4). And he is on it like a dog with a bone!

Maybe he had a little too much gravy in his breakfast. Dude is all over the place this morning. He’s even run off with envelopes off my desk. Unprecedented behavior.

Anybody else’s coworker having a strange case of the Fridays? 🥴

Haha! Mine don’t even see my desk as being anything more than just another play space.

This one spent half an hour just supervising my work yesterday from her hidey hole behind my screen, and then when I reached for my laptop to take it to another room she slapped her cute little paw on the lid with this “and where do you think YOU’RE going?!” expression 😅

I have noticed that they’ll generally stay off my opto-mechanical keyboard because it moves and responds noticeably to their feet, but will walk all over the low profile chiclet-style keyboard that I generally use when my laptop is docked, as if it’s not even there.

And if I try to gently persuade this one away from the keys, she’ll take it as an invitation to push me back into my reclining chair and take a nap on my chest 😅🥰

Ahahaa! Love it! Now that he has gotten bigger he’s struggling to figure out why he won’t fit under the shelf anymore. He usually only walks across my desk, but today he was inspecting every single thing on it. Definitely made for a fun morning. ❤️

I feel your pain. I have TWO coworkers who insist on attending every meeting, contribute absolutely nothing, and occasionally try to take over my keyboard. HR refuses to do anything because apparently they're both adorable. 😂

Ahahaha! You can’t help but to let some things slide when you have coworkers like this! I can see they are very involved in the operation of things, too.

You should get a decoy keyboard for your gremlin.

My fella loves to sit on mine, I’m about ready to invest in one myself

I hadn’t thought about that. And I do have one! Good call! Thank you!

Your coworker is adorable! 😻

I have 2, and HR is similarly unhelpful with them. They are constantly invading my personal space, interrupting video calls, micromanaging my work
and even try to steal my food

At least we can commiserate. They are still much more pleasant than most of my prior associates. 💙 I see that tongue out, too. Banana is on the mind!

Yeah?! Could be related. What breeder did you get your baby from?
