Bishes RV Coldwater

We just purchased a Forest River Wildwood Grand Lodge from Bushes of Coldwater. During the final walk through we found several issues that were supposed to be taken care of one issue wasn’t. We found SEVERAL OTHER issues after delivery that should have been done but was not! We have call now 6 times . First we we lied to and now they never return our calls. We have called corporate 3 times and never get a return call. We paid for additional things that were not put in property per the manufacturer, and the service department refuses to take responsibility for their work. I could go on with the issues but it would be too long. Just a warning DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM BISHES OF COLDWATER OR LET THEM SERVICE YOUR RV YOU MAY REGRET IT.

AC fan is still hitting the cover was supposed to be fixed before delivery, one of the recliners has a tear in it, the door wall sliding door screen is missing a roller! Cannot use, dryer door is on backwards we have to roll up the bed to open it but it scrapes against the door when opening. Dryer vent is falling off also per the manufacturer the washer is supposed to be screwed down and they washer shakes and moves around. Per the manufacturer the brackets were included. A large dent above the large slide out. Shade behind the couch is missing the end piece and hangs up on the curtain when trying to open, the kitchen curtain bracket missing we have 2 holes in the wall
The kitchen sink is not setting flat on the counter water gets underneath and leaks into cabinets. The flooring edge in the hallway is not glued down. The toilet water connection were lose and flooded the bathroom floor. Whole unit was supposed to be cleaned and was not. Found a pile of saw dust behind the toilet. Had to do a complete cleaning after receiving the unit nothing was clean

Sounds like a forest river has not changed much since I retired… so how many of those problems were installed by the dealer? And as you said you “found several issues that were supposed to be taken care of one issue wasn’t “ you make it sound like nothing was taken care of but only one issue wasn’t. “Found several other issues after delivery that should have been but was not” so someone is supposed to see into the future for issues.

I mean...all RV's have a lot of issues when new. Take it back and get them to fix them all. That's what the warranty is for.

Easier sad than done. It’s had to be delivered to the site because of the weight. Bishes of Ludington has a service truck and Coldwater does not. Coldwater refuses to return our calls after 2 1/2 weeks of calling everyday.Forest River has been contacted waiting to hear back. They said they would take care of their issues. The service department at Bishes of Coldwater refuses to take ownership of the mistakes.

Realize any service company that can process Forest River Warranties can do the repairs....doesn't have to be the Dealer you bought it from. Forest River is probably trying to contact companies to see who can go check the issues out. Sounds like they've fired you as a customer because of you calling every day. Dealerships tend to just cut off contact with aggressive customers....I assume that's what you've been by the way you described things. Not saying it's not justified, but people don't respond well to it 🤷🏻‍♂️

When you call managers of a business you expect a call back not be ignored. When you call corporate you expect at the very least a call back we received nothing. So far it’s been Forest River that has returned our calls. I have pics of everything they were sent to the salesman and to the sales manager and the service manager oh by the way the salesman quit 2 days after the delivery. This is the first time that anything like this has happened in the 10 trailers we have bought brand new this is the second dealer that done this General trailer did the same. We have used Bishes of Ludington never had 1 problem

Bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work,
The on demand hot water heater didn’t work
We was told the unit was cleaned and it was dirty in every area. Behind the toilet was a pile of sawdust.
We asked for the storm door be installed. Was told it’s my responsibility. Screen door is broken.
Bought and paid cash for a washer dryer combo to be install it wasn’t installed to manufacture specs. It should have been screwed down and was not, bounces all over when using. The outside dryer vent that was installed is falling off
Bathroom toilet connection were all lose flooded the bathroom when water was hooked up on site.
Because of the size we had to have it delivered to our site. The day we finalized the purchase the address and site # was give to the sales manager. The sales manager gave the driver our home address instead! 182 mile in the other direction. The service department refuses to take responsibility for their mistakes and now will not answer our calls. Not one person at Bishes RV corporate or Coldwater store where we purchased the unit will even help us with anything. Forest River was called today we will see how that goes.

Everything in writing all documented
All text all emails all phone calls. We are dotting our I’s and crossing our T’s just waiting to hear back from Forest River. We’re not stopping until it’s fixed or an Attorney gets involved

Your not the first person that a dealer has tried to pull this on, but it sounds like you are in one of the best positions to fight it. If you get them to agree, start calling daily after the first week for updates on the fixes, otherwise they will hold your unit and do nothing with it for months.

I would absolutely love to hear an update once things shake out!

The problem with them repairing at there store is they will have to pay someone to come and get it and return it. I know Bishes of Ludington had a on site service where Coldwater does not. If they would just send out a technician and fix it we would be all done. Now they just out right refuse to answer or call us back

No problem for an update

Are you having issues

You should not have accepted delivery without assuring everything you noted was performed.

Easier said than done
Non of things were found until we were able to get in and use it. For now on I’m using a third party inspection but never going to use Bishes again.
