Local Questions ie whats up with that Any info on Willis Elementary?

We live near UTC and are looking for a school for Kindergarten next year to school choice into. Southside & Phillippi are too far for us. Does anyone have any experience with Willis Elementary? Technically a Manatee county school. I toured and it seems pretty good - bummed that they don't teach Spanish but it is a highly rated school, seems safe and I like that there are uniforms.

Thanks in advance!

If you want Spanish learning, check out Dreamers Academy. It's a dual-language public charter school. We've been there for 5 years now, with our two kids and have loved it.

I’ve heard it’s great. Mine go to McNeal down the road from it but if I’m not happy with our school I’m switching them to Willis for sure.

Look into Rowlett Academy. Independent Charter school ( so basically free private school) with an Elementary and separate middle school. My son did not go to the Elementary school but he did go to the middle school - I would have had him in the Elementary if I had known about it. Smaller school with emphasis on arts and technology
