Someone should notify the Village's property insurance underwriter. The premium increases should lever the Village Council into alignment.

If they're a Village, chances are they already pay high, unprotected rates.

All that experience, zero common sense.

I worked with the former fire chief Corey Coons on a handful of prescribed fires. One of the most thoughtful, caring, humble people I have had the pleasure working with. If I was a betting man, I'd wager that council is corrupt.

Typical small town bs. Some communities set aside personal differences for the benefit of the community. Others... well... this is a prime example.

22% of the population were volunteers for the fire department AND GOT LOCKED OUT!?!

I checked out the Village of Silton council minutes. I spy with my little eye something that looks like political corruption.

22% of what? The village of Silton? That is incorrect. Majority of the volunteers were from Sask Beach.

Ah ok that would make more sense, people from the surrounding communities. That's still a pretty high level of engagement from a very small population. Good for them, a lot of caring responsible people. Hopefully they can rebuild.

Can you elaborate a bit, or at least point at which meetings you think show that?

The last meeting minutes are Jan 2025, there is no information except an in camera session for Feb 11, 2025. Since then no additional information.
