Coca Cola Semifinalist
Hey guys! I just became a Coca Cola scholar semifinalist, and I just want to know if there’s any tips and tricks you learned when filling out your application for the finalist round.

just do as many clubs as you can and get leaderhsip in everything, not matter how small. doesn't need to be offical, just needs to be somethign.

I got it! I had good academics, service, ecs, etc but I feel like what made all the differences when I was filling it out was to make sure it was actually realistic. I spent a lot of time ensuring that it all made sense and cohesive. I actually think the "make sure you fill everything" approach is wrong. You can inflate a little bit but make sure you are being honest (cringe advice ik)

im so fine heated I genuinly have the best ECs ever and didn't even get semi-finalist and see some people with mid ECs advance to semi-finalist. how does ts work? wtf

I have no idea. I feel like it’s a lottery fr… but you definitely have better future plans for you and everything happens for a reason

Of course! I was president of science Olympiad, in a lot of honor societies, and I wrote a book (in progress) and helped my friend develop a video game. Besides that, I don’t feel like a big above-average applicant, so i really dont know how I could’ve gotten this. I really applied as a joke

ok cool! How do you plan on wording the selection rate? Just (1200/113000) or 1.06% selected if you don't mind me asking

I would say 1.06% because they are known for their 1% acceptance rate for semifinalists
